I think it’s been like the 5th time I’ve listened to this one in its entirety, the quality of the series is just so good! I have no idea how come this didn’t get more exposure coz there’s clearly an audience for this content even several years after it was made. Whatever it is you’re doing right now, know that you’re missed here but your high quality content is friggin awesome. Not to mention that your predictions in many vids came true in hindsight, just brilliant. Many thanks IneptGeneral, even if you’re doing your thing elsewhere
Kurt should be given a banner that can only be placed on Reiksguard, but gives them buffs, one of which being unbreakable (same sort of way that grimgor's special black orc banner works)
Amethyst magic has been in Total war: warhammer from the beginning. It's the lore of death. The only weird thing about it is that it's not available to the empire. CA have basically subbed it in for Dark magic, so chaos and undead get to use it. I'm hoping that they will fix it in the next game, so that the empire gets access to the magic they have on the tabletop.
note: the battle where marius died is (at least meant to be) the gahl maraz quest battle as it is where karl franz first started realising that his hammer is pretty fucking handy also for markus i feel that just some visual flare on the glade lords arrows would do well. it already does plenty damage with a well decked out waystalker or glade lord capable of decimating 2/3 units
I think by the end of the total war warhammer saga we’ll see all the elector counts as LL’s Luther Huss as a LH, for Valcmar the grim. Ludwig Schwarzhelm as a LH for Karl fanz. Kurt helborg as a LL and Hans ziffler as a LH for him.
An Averland DLC would give us Kurt Helborg. The Lord Pack itself give us Marius Leitdorf vs Gorbad Ironclaw. While Kurt Helborg is given as a new FreeLC lord for the Empire.
Damn that Ludwig, murdering an entire castle full of people without guns, bows or long pointy sticks to mow him down from a distance.Also they apparently couldn't lock doors on him. Although I love the warhammer lore, they use this trick a tad too often to show off how awesome all of their named characters are. :p Fantastic content though, glad I discovered you. :)
My thoughts on it are: Helborg & Wulfhart are fine to be added as Legendary Lords Leitdorf should only be added as a unique general the same way CA added Todbringer for consistency's sake (same goes for any unique model elector counts they add late). Schwartzhelm should be a legendary hero (if CA implements them) since he doesn't lead armies but acts as Franz's bodyguard/elite agent. Huss should only be a legendary warrior priest since again he doesn't tend to lead armies (but CA would need make legendary heroes/priest/wizards a feature). Again von Draken should only be a legendary wizard not a legendary lord imo. Same goes for any heads of magic collages they add. Valten is tricky, I'm fine with him being added as a legendary lord but CA would have to then model Franz as wielding his rune-fang instead of Ghal-Malaz. Can't really have both Franz and Valten using the same hammer... I think CA should implement the legendary hero/priest/wizards etc otherwise there'll be overwhelmingly too many legendary lords if they plan to eventually add most the named characters from lore... in game economy just can't support that many armies if they were all lords... hell even if half of them gets added as legendary agents I don't think empire economy can support fielding them all as it is which will be a big let down since most people will want to be able to field them all at the same time... but currently even if you have all empire lands it doesn't product that much cash and upkeep is prohibitively high :p
A Nuln DLC Would give us Elspeth. Countess Emanuelle with her mechanical steed, master engineers, nuln ironsides. And 2 female lords, something the empire lacks. Would be interesting.
Marius is actually not "mad" mad - a Slaneshi deamon is trying to possess him, but he is resistant to chaos. But is tormented by it. So thats whats you hear across the empire, If you read Sword of Vengeance and Sword of Justice you'd get some of his story :)
I came here to see Kurt Hellborg, Valten, Ludwig Shwarzhelm, Boris Todbringer, Marius Leitdorf, Thyrus Gormann and Luthor Huss. As legendary lords/heroes.
Sorry didn't get them all in there missed Boris as he's already in the game and Thyrus unfortunately didn't make the cut in 8th edition. Maybe in a potential part 2 for the empire.
I love your videos. They may not be super exciting, but they're informative and make for great lore background while I am playing TW WHII. Also, while I am surte you're aware, most of the missing lords from your videos have been added by mods.
you probably don't care about comments on a year old video but listened to this several times. great wrap up. would love a episode only focusing on marius and his special rules, army book mentions so on and so forth. Leitdorf for emperor! well, blackfire pass didn't happen.
Oh man, now I want all these characters to be lords in the game. I wish CA had the limitless time and budget that would be necessary to make all those character models, voices and quest chains! 😭
Yeah the chaos sorcerer thing showed up in the sword of vengeance books I think its never really mentioned anywhere else and people seem not to like that twist so wasn't sure if it was cannon. Didn't know about the other magical weapon in 8th it mentions his other weapon is paired but not magic in it's own right. I know he used to have a silver dagger is that the weapon you mean?
In the wake of recent content it seems anything can make it into the TWW series and there isn't a real limit on the number of LLs per faction. I want Helborg even more now since Wulfhart is so awesome in-game. I think Leitdorf should be like Toddbringer is now. Forge World units are definitely open for usage based on the VampCoast and newest Beast&Hunter pack, so Elspeth is possible, and standing apart with her dragon mount. Outside of a few more LLs and Knight Chapterhouses, I have little else to ask for the Empire.
It's a good thing that the Averland faction in game is so good at staying neutral; Marius Leitdorf should have a -5 diplomacy penalty to all human factions. Because he trusts NOTHING, not even the trees and the dirt, he should have a bonus chance for catching armies in the Forest Path andUnderway. With the new mechanics of Warhammer 2, he can be the first and only human lord with Rampage!
some of these guys I'd like to see as more like a legendary hero like luthor huss being one for warrior priests and has special ability's and the way u get there guys is through quest battles

One of the reasons I don't really like Valten is that he got the Tyrion and Teclis treatment : a hero character that is oh-so-perfect-I-could-shit-my-pants and with a very uninspired chosen one backstory. So unless he gains character development, he is going to fall a bit flat... :/
Marius leitdorf is really insane but he is also a really good tactian and the wife he called ugly is actually really one of the ugliest of old world probably whole world yeah it was stubid to say but he wasnt wrong :)
Yeah I'd like to get to that eventually but at the moment going to try and finish the missing LL series for each faction. After that would be happy to do lore videos on the guys already in the game.

If she controlls death... how about an ability that stops models from dying ( they still take damage but always retain at least 1 HP) for... a minute Maybe? Or longer? I dont know.
