Our minds control so much more than we think. Carly, maybe your fear was because your body already knew in some way that you’d be sick, so it was preparing your mind to be able to handle it. Carly, being so put together *right after surgery!* to film freaking content? That is some incredible inner power, I'd still be in such a funk in my own head and out of it from pain meds I'd barely be talking to family let alone filming! Hope you have a fast recovery and can get back to Pilates fast, I know that once some exercise becomes part of your routine it really does become such a powerful mental health booster!

Carly, I really feel for you. I had a similar but less extreme thing happen to me. I got tickets for my little sister and I to the opening night of Lorde’s tour for her 21st birthday. She’s our Taylor. We were 4th row center stage. And I have this thing where on rare occasions I pass out. And before we get there I start feeling a bit bad. And then I get there with all the people and it really made it bad. So I end up having to go to the medic room right before she went on stage and I can hear a muffled version of everything. Her playing some of my favorite songs and I’m just trapped in the back room, leaving my sister alone. And it was so depressing. I think I was also having a panic attack about the fact that this was happening at the concert. About halfway through the concert I feel a bit better and decide I have to try to go out there and so I went and ended up being fine and having an amazing time for the rest of the concert. But I still can’t believe I missed so much of it. What part I saw was honestly the best concert I’ve ever been to. But I missed so many of my favorite songs and an outfit change and the opening monologue bit and everything. So I feel for you missing the whole concert like this. I hope Taylor finds out and gives you a meet and greet or something. Haha
Carly, what a bummer!! I had an appendectomy at the end of last year. It took me about a month to slowly start feeling like I could exercise again. I practice yoga regularly, so it took me about 4-6 weeks until I could do a whole class and feel kinda like I did before the surgery. My doctor told me it would take about 3 months to feel all the way back to normal, and that was def true. Once you hit the two week mark or whenever you feel up for it, start going for short walks! It helps with the recovery process by getting your blood flowing. Take it easy and don't push yourself too much. My doctor also told me it would be normal to have some days where I felt normal, then be exhausted the day or so after, and that was def my experience too. Just be patient and let your body rest so it can heal!
Prayers 🙏 for a quick recovery for Carly. I feel so bad she couldn’t go. My husband had his appendix out 2 days before Thanksgiving over 6 years ago. Try to keep yourself from laughing or coughing or sneezing because they may all hurt bc you use your abs for all of those.

The way I’ve been SO SAD for Carly since I saw she was in the hospital on Instagram 😭💔 I am the same way with the FOMO, I can’t imagine how heartbreaking it was to have to accept that you couldn’t make it to the show. I hope you’re able to see Taylor in LA and have an even better time than you would have in AZ!
Carly is a queen for showing herself all undone post op, and for not over dramatizing or freaking out about the terrible situation. Mature queen! Also I think Cheryl and Josh are the standout special guest stars of this vlog.
i didnt have appendicitis but i did get covid the DAY BEFORE i was going to see lady gaga in concert... i cried as soon as say the positive line. i also have really bad fomo and my two best friends still went as they should but it still hurt.

I know I am like a month late on watching this.. but this comment section NEEDS be aware lol Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Night One in Arizona was my very first concert or you know big experience with like that many people... Switfys are some of the nicest, most genuine people I have ever met! There was close to 70,000 people in that place and I felt at home. I am so happy we got to share that experience together. And hey, now Carly doesn't have to have that fear when Taylor comes to LA! Love you guys Love- Brooke ( I am not usually a commenter because of my anxitey)
It's wild how those things can manifest. One time my friend told me she had a uti and I got one 2 days later. One time I talked about breaking a bone and how much that would suck and broke my foot a couple days later. It's crazy, I'm going to be mute now lol

First and foremost I’m so sorry appendicitis caused you to miss Taylor’s concert, that is devastating. I got my appendix taken out when I was 6 and was in excruciating pain for almost 24 hours before going to the ER. It was very scary and the healing process sucked. I hope you recovered or are still recovering well 😢
Depends, if you want to get merch arrive as soon as they open that way you have time to spare and watch the openers. Also keep in mind the traffic around the stadium, a lot of closed roads and a lot of people walking.
For AZ night 2, we arrived at 5 and immediately looked for our seats and then went to look for merch, completely missed Gayle's set and half of Paramore's and by the time we got to the front of the merch booth they informed us that there were only 3XL and 4XL available. Highly recommend ordering merch from her website that way you can fully enjoy the openers and the concert itself without having to worry!!
also, FYI, taylor interchanges some of the songs she's playing on tour, so the setlist will keep changing depending on the show. she played vigilante shit at the last show she did! 🖤👏
