Whenever I listen to this track I think of one particular night in my childhood. It was a cool summer day in 1996 (I was seven), me and my brother had four of our best friends over for a sleepover. We literally did everything we wanted to do that day. We went hiking at this awesome state park, then played at the castle park. Then we went swimming which was followed by going to the video store and renting a few SNES games (this being one of them) and picking up pizza from the local pizza parlor in town. We came back and played the shit out of those games, especially this one because of the co-op. This track captures everything about that night and I will never forget it.
Cool anecdote. For me, it was the middle of 2 weeks off from school, around xmas time, 1992. A friend of my brother's had rented Turtles in Time and Super Double Dragon (a new release at the time!), and took them with him when he came over. We played both for hours that afternoon. It was awesome! The music really takes you back, doesn't it?
Nice story! For me it was renting this game and playing it with my friend after school (around 95-96 too). It was only a couple of hours that one day but it stuck with me!

It reminds me of something that could be in a Jean Claude Van Damme 90's Karate movie. Someone needs to make a rendition of this song stuck over the last fight scene in Bloodsport, sound effects & all. Tell me it wouldn't be perfect!

This song is also in the new game Double Dragon Gaiden. I was like 🥹 hearing this song again. Very good game, a love letter for Double Dragón fans.
Truly, the soundtrack of this game inspired a little comic I drew all the damn time in high school lol. It later became a little beat-em-up game, which we called Epidemic of Violence lol. I will definitely remake it.

Easily the best song of the entire game. The soundtrack is great on this game, but damn it all this track always got me so hyped whenever I played this game as a kid. The moment I saw my brother and I spawn onto the top of that truck and the music started, it was time to beat some ass. I was always so sad that this stage was relatively short compared to the rest of the stages because this music was next level. On another note, this is also one of my favorite beat em up games of all time. Grabbing an opponents arm and kicking him in the face repeatedly is one of the most satisfying things a human being can experience on this earth. Thanks for uploading the extended version of this. I’ve had this song on so many different playlists throughout my life, and an extended version is absolute perfection.
In the Japanese game, this song was the final mission song. A real shame that in the international version they changed the subject of place. It is much more epic there and can be heard for much longer.
Used to LOVE this game when I was 11 back in 1993. My favorite move was trapping the enemy's arm and repeatedly kicking them in the face. Used to rent this all the time.
This music really brings back memories. It has the magical power of stucking my eyes to the end of a sunset reddish horizon and dreaming about what I haven't been able to grasp, about all that I've let slip out of my hands while I stare into the "time telescope"
Bought it on release day and to this day have never played a better Double Dragon. Like so many other posts here I literally have hundreds of excellent memories of this game.
