Not sure how it can be more conclusory when it's a part one of one long film lol. I agree that hopefully they clarify Gabriel's interaction with the entity. Great points about Atwell and the scene where Ethan says he's trying to get away from the mountain. That was impressive to me as well. Telling Waller-Bridge to take notes made me laugh bc she doesn't hide her superiority complex, even for Hollywood standards. I'm also convinced she helped to ruin No Time to Die as a co-writer, with the woke shit being largely added in by her, I would guess. She's not even hot lol. Lastly i think you're the first to point out publicly that Ethan is an allegory for Christianity. Saying it out loud might scare away a big chunk of the audience but it should be acknowledged. I think Nolan did the same with Bale's Batman... Great review, man. The unbroken shots by these last few MIs, and like in John Wick, are why they standout more than your average action/adventure flick. I think McQuarrie's done well by adding a little more sophistication to the franchise. That said, I love all 7 and can even defend why the second one was good lol. Thanks for the video.
@@KyleCorwith it's just so Woo kitsch, it's enjoyable in a 70s movies kind of way while looking modern. Thought Dougray Scott did well as the villain. I liked how he understood Ethan's methods and was foretelling exactly what he would do to acquire the antidote. Liked the opening climbing scene. Thandie Newton looked great. The Spanish dance before she goes into the tub to steal the necklace was nice. Plus Hopkins! Adding Limp Bizkit to the music scape probably cemented it in 2000 instead of making it timeless but it's endearingly funny and nostalgic. I also liked Tom's attitude about the whole thing when he did the parody sketch with Ben Stiller. Maybe 2 is more enjoyable if you were around during its release, and I happened to be 17 at the time. Finally no Woo film is complete without the doves!
This is my 3rd favourite for the franchise and top 5 of the year so far. I thought the plot was a little convoluted but the humour, characters, and of course the ACTION made up for it all. Hayley Atwell was the stand out for me. Great review, Kyle 👍
That movie was so good one of my favorite movies last summer! There wasn’t a single scene where I was bored. Mission Impossible movies since Ghost Protocol have been awesome and Dead Reckoning part 1 was no exception I loved every single minute of this movie.
I’m pumped for the sequel! And hey, what are thoughts on ‘Fall Guy’? Just released the review on it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xvrgjXUGYU0.html
