One thing I am surprised he didnt point out, no cops. All that driving around and not a cop car in sight. In the U.S, you would have seen at least 100 cop cars.
Hello American Friends! Mississauga is not a suburb of Toronto, but a completely different city, just a few inches away from the border of Toronto. Mississauga is home to almost a million people from all across the entire world! This is my first video of yours I've watched... hope you made it down to Port Credit in the South of Mississauga on the waterfront where the skyline of Toronto and the beautiful scenery are absolutely outstanding!
Used to live in Buffalo, NY and you can be in Toronto in about 2 hours. Canada wants only immigrants who are skilled. You cant emigrate to Canada easily.
I was not impressed with Winnipeg. it just seemed boring to me. I didn't care to drive around the city either. I was happy to be back on I-29 when I reentered North Dakota..
I too noticed that in general things in Canada look more "orderly" than in the US. I think it's because there is more emphasis on zoning and town planning. In the US, especially in the South, you have a lot of freedom to build whatever you want and it gives towns a jumbled, random appearance. I don't think Americans realize that the cost of living in Canada is higher, and overall, incomes are less. Property values in the Toronto area are very high. The exchange rate between the currencies makes things look cheaper for Americans.
Mississauga Ontario has one of the best infrastructures of a city in North America and part of that is due to the late great mayor of Mississauga Hazel McCallion (1921-2023) who was the mayor of Mississauga Ontario from 1978 to 2014. Hazel McCallion built Mississauga Ontario from the ground up from when it was a small town west of Toronto to the big city to what it is today. Hazel McCallion nicknamed Hurricane Hazel was a no nonsense get the job done hard working mayor and wasn't affiliated with any political party of Canada and was an Independent. Hazel McCallion was the best mayor that a city could ever ask for when it comes to leadership and taking care of the citizens of Mississauga Ontario.
It looks so clean and yes the drivers are courteous, not like here in Florida. I bet the Mississauga Wal Mart shopping carts did not have any flat tires!
Edmonton, Calgary, and Winnipeg have had very smoky skies due to the wildfires to the north of them. Many of the wildfires that happen up that far north are so remote, that they are allowed to burn themselves out.
