Yea well they will face "The Marines" of HBCU percussion sections this year and that's BCU. So get your shit together cuz we don't do the silly sectional solo crap. We play full cadence's.
Alcorn was playing the. Better material difficulty wise... but I was vibing with cadences more and were more easy to understand to the naked ear... hard to call but I give the W to T.O.P... good job to both
Alcorn gave up they "original style" to look like JSU.. Anybody wanna argue that just peep out they sections before murray got in 2012 and watch u see a diff drum section.
@@therealmccoy2004 You said that Murray came and changed everything. I was wondering if he's the percussion instructor and if so whether or not he marched WT. That would explain the change. If that's the band director, did he go to Jackson State?
Alcorn got alot more technical materal in their cadences and solos but it sounds boring. And they kind of sound like they are trying to copy Jackson State style to me. But thats just me.
Personally I think Valley got the skin burnt off of them and here is why: 1. Flashes not together 2. Humping not together 3. No diversity at all in cadences or rudiments 4. In a battle come with battle material, they must think they Lane. Finally, leave that tip toe shit to corps style that shit ruined the dam battle. My opinion is Alcorn took the W but to all the people that think im being bias, I'm actually more of a Jackson State Fan.
Im dissatisfied with this battle. During football season T.O.P was on point. They did play harder material than valley. Valley look like a hs. Whitehaven will smoke them lol
Theron Wright why bring a high school into a battle between two colleges plus whitehaven play the same shit every year PB percussion gave them that smoke
