Otherwise I’ll depress myself thinking about four kids being raised by a crappy mom. Then again, maybe she married Raj and he’s the one who’s more involved with the kids. This Mary version is the worse! This Mary is wasting her time in church! She thinks she gets to play her family like a chess match. No one can do anything with out her thinking she has a say in it. She treats her husband like dirt! Lord forbid he takes up for one of the other kids because she’s made it clear no one exists for her but Sheldon! She treats her other two kids like a chore she rarely shows affection to but Sheldon is the center of her world! On season four final episode where Missy runs away and Sheldon goes with her she said it all…Don’t follow me because Mom will blame me like always! This woman needs to meet Jesus because she is playing church! She is a self righteous biotch and thinks she is everyone’s judge!

@@katluann You're not getting any argument from me. Yet, at the same time, I think Mary's poor parenting explains why Sheldon turned out to so insufferable. He actually believes that he should be constantly rewarded for everything he does and, for a long time, had no problem with taking credit for other people's work. Which is a much better explanation for Sheldon's behavior than autism something that, as an autistic person myself, I find insulting. It could also explain why Missy's life is such a mess because Mary never gave her the love and support she needed to truly grow. Meanwhile George, the one who was giving Missy love and support, dies and my theory is that it will turn Missy into a broken shell.

@Christopher Bingham It was her first time babysitting. Just because Missy failed it the first time doesn’t mean she didn’t learn as an adult. Better yet, maybe she did struggle with it and her first husband was a bum who didn’t do shit. Maybe Raj was her second husband and he agreed to take care of the domestic responsibilities while Missy got her real estate license. It’s my headcanon and I’m sticking to it until Young Sheldon tells me otherwise.

It’s not that Miss perfect Christian was right it’s that she always manipulates her family and it’s disgusting watching her and an insult to all Christians!

@Christopher Bingham it’s not really being irresponsible, she did a good job and the baby is safe and was fed, changed, burped etc. She was just tired as it is more work than she expected but she handled it really well… Proved Mary wrong anyway 😅

Though she was pregnant with her second child when she and her first husband were separated. Either they reconciled or some other guy is the father of the 3rd and 4th. Raj seemed intrigued when she mentioned being separated.

So happy to be a PS major. I only needed to know how to graph my results and turn them into something meaningful or informative. That is way easier than calculus OR babies.

@Christopher Bingham Okay maybe babies are easier to me bc I have natural mom/ parent intuition and once I carry a baby, he/she stops crying and goes to sleep or stops crying. Math in the other hand, always has problems smh. (I was not a math major or anything, I was just gifted and didn't like to fail so by senior year of hs I had passed my AP Calc BC with a 5 so I had no choice but to keep going)

I went to church with my mom when I was a kid in I noticed her and her crew would gossip about a lady that didn't show up. On the way home I told her you know they talk about you when you're not there ? She refrained from slapping me but I know she wanted to. God I miss my mother rip maw.

Mary is a very bad parent to her other two kids. Mary is the reason Sheldon turned out so selfish. Mary on big bang was a better parent than Mary on young Sheldon. She didn’t think the world revolves around Sheldon instead she called him out on all his quirky stupid attitudes.

You should most definitely never babysit if that’s how you feel! I love babies and at that age I really loved babies! Dirty diapers? My husbands aunt would walk in and say I want to hold the baby provided it’s not drooling or has a dirty diaper! I said who asked you to touch my baby anyway?

The first time I babysat a small baby was when I was 13 after two summer of watching the older kids in the same family. Baby was 15 months and beginning to be pretty mobile. I was supervising dinner while the parents and grandparents got ready for a night out. Baby spit up all over himself. The next youngest age 4 tried to pick him up and slipped and fell in the spit up. Parents come out in fancy clothes to me trying to handle two toddlers covered in spit up with their older two daughters laughing at me. I was almost in tears and said: “Are you sure I’m ready for this???” The parents assured me babies are resilient and they were only a call away. The rest of the night went well. I’m now 26 and nannying my 8th and 9th babies. I’ve been through colic, teething, potty training and more. Nothing phases me anymore but it isn’t for the faint of heart. When I meet my friends straight after work their fav game to play is guess what that stain on your shirt is 🤣🤣🤣
