Two I unrelated people can look alike, so that’s not a continuity break to me, unlike Leonard dismissing the possibility of Sheldon having an older brother, and then writing in Sheldon having an older brother within the same series.

I don’t blame Sheldon,for not letting his friends date his sister. He has seen the way Howard talks to penny ,and it’s creepy. He knows Leonard has the hots for penny . He knows Raj can’t speak to women,without crapping his pants. So basically he knows none of them are good enough for his sister. Missy could have dated anyone of them if she wanted ,but clearly she didn’t ,she was flattered,that’s all.

I hate continuity errors too.
