Huge fan of Ashes Reborn and love Red Rains. I have played a lot coop + campaign. I really like the campaign mode but decided to try out all the Phoenixborn solo instead. So many fun decks to play. Currently my favorite way to play is campaign mode. It is just a blast starting with a Phoenixborn and building your deck each time. Most decks have tons of directions they can go. Just like all coop games, finding the right difficulty is always the hardest part. Too easy feels very unsatisfactory while too hard feels like you had no chance. So far Standard 3 for the final campaign has always been tough. Normally it is down to the wire. Often only have 1 round left before I get overrun.

So glad that you are enjoying this wonderful game. Once you understand the system, I agree the earlier levels of Standard do feel easy. I love playing Standard 3 and Heroic 1/2 I usually do videos on Standard 1 to show off the cards in various decks.

Thank you for doing this series! Ashes has been one of my top favorite games for years. I really love how the Red Rains expansions is making the games accessible for solo players and allows for even more gaming opportunities. I haven't done alot of playthroughs myself yet, but watching this makes me think I can maybe bump my chimera up to a stage 2 and give Rin a go at it. Do you have any idea what your next Pheonixborn is going to be? I just opened my Rowan deck against the Frostwild Mighty aspects and it was insane but very fun.

Thank you for the kind words and watching the play-throughs. I’m thinking for my next videos I’ll actually do a campaign (stage 1, 2, and 3) vs Standard Frostwild. Not sure who I’ll pick just yet though.

Oh nice. Tough decision for sure 🙂. In the next one, if it doesnt break the thought process flow too much, it would be nice to see what cards you have in your hand at the start of each round. You show the starting 5, but then we dont see what you get in the future rounds until they are played. (Caught the flash of the triple of that one card though. Yikes.)
