This channel isfor conversation. Simple Life Reclaim is where they show the work. If you had listened you would have heard they have not put out many as she has been ill, company, and a lot of family things going on. That info is not for our ears. She is busy and trying to get them out. Don't pick on them as they are doing the best they can and need to winterize. If you don't like the chatter than don't watch this channel. Watch the main one. Clean your own lives before redoing someone else. I know it isn't popular now but not too late to start. Be Nice.

Haste Makes Waste! I rammed that into my work crew when I built over 110 homes in and around Little Rock from mid 1960's to 1996. We always build the framing walls with the windows cut-outs before the walls went. Most times when we finished a home, the board waste could be put into a wheel barrel. Please don't claim you know how to build a home.

You could just use one header for above the triple windows on the front and the double windows on the sides to have less space in between. 3 2x6 (cripple length) from the bottom plate to the header in between windows and then 3 cripples on each end to hold up the header.

Great job explaining how to get the figures. That way if someone watches your video it is easy for them to figure out. Your hard door thingy should be on top and bottom of the door. I made the mistake of just the bottom. My China cabinet took a hit.

The door should swing out to the right from outside to give more space in the mud room since the stairs and the platform is under the roof.

You can lay out 2x6s on the roof and build the roof structure with the commons above the porch before you cut out the overhang…then there will be no guessing and it will remain dried in

You don’t have to have studs in between the windows…you can build one opening and duty all the windows together

I like your plans, but don't forget you still have to move large furniture through them to get them into your house. I don't think the kitchen back door is big enough for that and don't forget the deck too :). But I bet you guys thought of that too, just wanted to have it written to be sure. Add make it symmetrical and make it match to house the 2 windows in the house. By the door that's what I would do. Everybody has an opinion. And you have your own opinion so I would just do it with the 2 windows in the door and put a window on each end of the mud room

why the need for a 3FT. Door for mudroom. A 2ft.- 8ins. is good enough for that application un less you intend bring in large furniture through there.

Hey gang. Would it make sense to have a landing at the top of the steps to not be dangling on a step with a couple of bags in your hands and trying to open the door. Also it will be awkward if someone comes to your front door. It will also look awkward on the design.

How can anything be wrong when you never follow the blueprints? Look at your house walls on 8" centers and how you had to move all your interior walls and windows because your floor trusses were all wrong and the floor couldn't support the weight correctly.

It seems as though you have scripted everything you say on Real Talk And SLR. I would enjoy seeing more project building than talk. So many things have not been completed and so many times it’s obvious Gary is making split second decisions to cover his inadequacies we appreciate your enthusiasm but your “let’s get er done” attitude is gone. It appears from prior posts from others many of your followers feel the same. The laughs and cutesy giggles do not cover for your many mistakes. Gary needs to be very certain of all his ideas so that Mel can really comprehend what is being done. Mel should question everything Gary does. Geometry is not Gary’s strongest class. Moving furniture into your house will be so cumbersome because of the placement of the stairs. Gary said a truck could be backed up to the deck and furniture unloaded easily. How so? And with a 36 inch door I ask how? Isn’t the purpose of the mud room to enter and leave muddy shoes and coats before entering the house? The roof is another nightmare. Will the mud room have electricity? People have given ya’ll such great advice and you always have an excuse as to why you won’t to do their way. A mud room isn’t used for morning coffee but different strokes for different folks. 9:00

🤣 What about it Andy? Last I checked our kids play in the playhouse every other day. The roof is our YEAR END GOAL.. We never planned on doing the inside of our cabin this year. We have a beautiful garden, chicken coop & run, a rabbitry, barn, several different fenced areas, freezers full of homegrown & hunted meat, TWO water wells, a huge circle driveway, a community hang out area, built our yard from a steep unusable hill to a terraced yard, finished our basement (that we live in right now, that has washer dryer, power, water, heating, cooling, fiber internet) and moved out of our camper trailer - all in 2 1/2 years after arriving to RAW acreage - Everything is paid for, with CASH - so again, it looks like winning from here. We still have a long way to go but to say we've done nothing is absolutely ridiculous 🤣🤣🤣
