Hi Tatiana, I’m in the US and thinking about starting Amazon fba, but I’m going back to Iraq in few months. Would it better if I start now, or I should wait until I go back and settle then apply? I have a bank account and will not close it after going back.
Hi Tatiana, one more question. My subscription to Zoof is about to expire (my 6 month of complimentary use with ASM is almost done). I'm looking at the price as well as which has the best options and cannot find any comparisons with Zoof. I found lots of info on Jungle Scout & Helium 10 however, absolutely nothing on Zoof. The only info I could find on Zoof was on the Zoof website. Is it not as popular as the other 2 platforms or... ? I'd like to compare the 3 and find it odd that there is nothing available via Google. I'm assuming that Zoof is recommended by ASM because it is the platform integrated into their website. I may want to go a different route depending on what I can find out as far as comparing it to Jungle Scout and Helium 10. Can I get your thoughts on this? Thanks in advance :)
Hello Tatiana, I joined ASM in December 2021 and have become a huge fan of your videos! I have one question for you and want your opinion, I’m still working on picking my “first hot opportunity product” When picking my first product I realize how important it is to pick the correct one. I’m afraid of picking a product that is “boring” (example a tissue box) over something that might be more “valuable” or “interesting” I’m working on a tighter budget so starting with ASM Foundations before moving to Evolution. Any tips when picking out a first product I would HIGHLY appreciate thank you so much for your wisdom and I hope you know how much your advice helps us newbies!
Sorry LAST question, in the video you say this isn’t the time to source a low ticket product. As I stated I’m planning to start with foundations which aims for cheaper products should I still go this route or save and wait to buy a premium product?
Hey Ariel! Congrats on getting started and joining ASM :) don’t be afraid of boring products, sometimes you can find some really great opportunities with boring products because there may be fewer sellers interested in selling them. Honestly, just stay open minded. When you first start product research you can be more particular about the categories you want to sell in and following all the ASM criteria but if you find yourself struggling to find a product then you can incrementally broaden your search to other categories and loosen up on some of the criteria. Don’t be afraid to go down the rabbit hole, clicking on one product and then another and another, sometimes that’s how you find something you would have never otherwise discovered!
ANOTHER gem!!! Such GREAT info Tatiana, thank you so much for giving this updated info on “starting FBA in 2022”. I love the idea of sourcing locally instead of over seas, I’d much rather do that at this point even though it will be a bit more expensive. I’m still new (having purchased ASM through your link) and have only done product sourcing via Ali Baba. How do you resource products if you want to buy them locally? What website do you use instead of Alibaba? The ASM program recommends using a Google search (from what I can remember) however, is there a website similar to Alibaba but for local resourcing?
So glad you enjoyed the video! Unfortunately there is no marketplace that compares to Alibaba but here’s a website with some options: www.smart-minded.com/en/business/alibaba-alternatives/
@@TatianaJames Thank you!! I'm starting the research today for a supplier that isnt over seas and keeping my fingers crossed that I find a good one. I'd love to cut down on the wait time as well as have a 'Made in the USA' stamp on the tag inside my product. I appreciate you so much, thanks again :)
Thank you Tatiana! Your videos are always so helpful, I'm about to place my first inventory order in a couple weeks, just narrowing down my supplier right now. Super excited to get started with my brand of art supplies, but this is all thanks to you introducing me to ASM! So thank you!
Amazon now makes you show bank account statements, photo ID, on a Facetime call that can take a while (a week) to get an appointment for. They also send a post card to your address with a code you have to enter before you can set up a seller account. You can't get or look at any seller account info without first being verified with the call and the postcard code. You can't check if something is gated. (but good advice still!) Another excellent video!
Yes, you would need to have an active seller central account in order to check. Sounds like Amazon is making people jump through more hoops to get an account open.
That was amazing Tatiana. I just started Amazon business. This is very useful for me. I was writing down whilst I was listening. Thank you so much. Amazing content.
Thank you for this video! That bonus part was EXACTLY what I needed to hear! i'm wondering if i should first incorporate business (open LLC) or start straight away as an individual. What was holding me back was possibility of moving to state in US with lower taxes (I am in NY)
Glad the message resonated with you :) You could open up your company in another state if you wanted, it doesn’t have to be in the state you live. I personally prefer to sell under a company for the tax benefits.
very helpful , I am doing Amazon FBA UK and sourcing from China, I think the key thing of doing FBA is to find professional suppliers and freight forwarder to handle your first leg for your Amazon FBA, like IRFREIGHT, highly recommended.
Great video Tatiana Thank you! I’ve been looking into starting up something like this by watching lots of RU-vid videos feeling inspired 🤩 I’ve only been researching for a month, But I’m stuck on what the best products would be to sell and where to source them from 😊 I was thinking t-shirts POD but now I’m not so sure 🤦🏻♀️
How to market/drive traffic to my products on Amazon through tiktok/instagram of the products that are in the Amazon warehouse? Also do we need to have a business bank account for the funds to be transferred into or can we use our own personal bank account? Thank You ⚘
Very interesting, I’ve been learning about FBA for about a month now and I’ve started a LLC and found my first product perfect competition, low reviews and room to improve and I already have a brand developing in that niche but you have listed points that have I have not yet thought about thank you ! Shipping and products price specifically
Aloha from Hawai’i. Im anticipating the 4th video from your series in my email today, with intent to start this journey asap. Very grateful & appreciative for the guidance, inspiration & authenticity in all your vids. I might have a story to share in the future about my family’s successes on Amazon & I just want to thank you in advance.. God Bless, C.
Before starting I have a question. In my country(Lebanon) they stopped giving credit cards, so can my professional account be accepted if I am using a debit card instead(visa or master card)? If not, can I use the credit card of someone else living in another country so the owner of the card will not be the same as the owner of the account, can this be accepted? Also if not, can I have a partner in the company from another country and use his credit card?
I wish I could give you a thousand thumbs up 👏 This video is so good not only for Amazon but for any online business in general. A lot of very good tips thank you!! 💖
Can you please make a detailed video about the "prelaunch marketing" in addition to guiding us how to open an insta page for example and how to videotape with all the details...
Appreciate the input. I have just started following you about a month ago. I have had training and about yo start selling. First shipment. I am already looking for a product to source/label. Appreciate all of your tips. They have really added value to my learning through another program. Mentoring really helps. I am glad I came across you. :)
I started selling on Amazon a couple years ago but never followed through because after Amazon fees, marketing fees, & manufacturers from China selling many of the same products for a lot less I seriously wondered if it was even worth it. I’d love to know peoples thoughts
Maybe you just need to find the right product! There will always be Amazon fees and shipping costs etc., it will make a big difference if you find the right product that meets the right profit margin. Try doing some more product research!
I think it's worth it. I've been selling on Amazon for three years doing retail / online arbitrage. I'm found a seller on Tiktok, took her Private Label course (which is awesome) and now my products are in production. The main thing is you have to understand the market and source products with good margins so you are profitable after all fees.
If i buy a product from alibaba how to check a product at manufacturer Where you buy from and who should we contact for check the product at manufacturer place
Hi Tatiana I live in UK and I found a product to sell on amazon in baby category and I have ordered the samples What do you suggest how much inventory is enpugh for first time? Im planning to order 300 pieces (3 colours 100 pieces each) And secondly is it a good idea if I order it to my home first from china and then ship it myself to amazon ?
Hi Tatjana. I am Michael from Germany. My wife and i, we are starting FBA. In Germany (or in Europe) it is not easy to tind a manufacturer. Typicly you can forget phonecalls or writing emails. I think, there is no interest to work to together with FBAs. So finaly we are working with Alibaba. Our chinese suppliers are answering our emails and messages very fast. The want make business with us. But thanks for the content. The best tipp for me is your last one, starting and not waiting. And regarding the high shipping costs: I think, this will changed this or next year, because the laws of the market will regulate the subject again.
Some products that are returned could get added back into your inventory, others may have to be discarded or sent to a location of your choice. One of the reasons I don’t recommend clothing is because of the much higher return rates due to sizing troubles, compared to other products on Amazon. So you, you would want to factor that in.
That’s great! Are you following the TWF method? I’ve got some interviews coming out soon with people selling wholesale on Amazon, I recommend watching because they share what helped them create success with the model.
@@TatianaJames Unfortunately I’m not at the moment how do I get into the TWT method as I’ve heard great things. I’ll be waiting to watch oncoming interviews you have with them for motivational purposes.
@@ldh9891 I definitely do recommend checking it out. It's only available once per year and that time is coming up at the end of this month. You can subscribe to my email list and I'll notify you when it's available: tatianajames.com/twf
Hey Tatiana I like u and its 2 months since i followed you i decied to open a fba seller acount But i only have $1000 is that enough to start and im soo scared to start
You got this! Check out my playlist on FBA for more info, here's one on how much it costs to get started ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S21AhuFRy_U.html
Hi Tatiana, thank you for the bonus tip. That was the best and I really needed to hear that. I am one of those who spend years learning and never implementing. Now, I am ready to go and try it. No because I learned but because I am ready to build a business, learn on the journey to success and make mistakes on the way to learn even more. The only down fall is I am not sure what to sell. I was thinking about starting with a beauty line that is popping up now. Is hair cream, shampoo and conditioner a bad product to start?
Glad you resonated with the bonus tip! What you sell has less to do with an item that you want to sell and more to do with what your research turns up. I recommend watching my Amazon product research videos in my Amazon playlist.
Hello! I loved the video especially your pup omg so adorable 😍 Great tip about the competition, I really think it is smart to always look up to who succeed and try to launch a quality product that might be better in some aspects, but what if I want to launch a product that has a very high competition, do you think it’s still worth to try? Considering that I would create a listing using professional pics, video, marketing with ads on Amazon, and following all the tips to make a product great. Thanks in advance if you will reply ❤️🐾
Hi Tatiana 1. Is secured credit card ok? 2. I formed LLC & new bank account in order to sell Amazon but I heard Amazon doesn't like new LLC & bank account Even if I wait 1-2month there's no history in bank account. Is it better just to register as individual?
Hi Tatiana, how would I be able to go for more premium products on a tighter budget? I am steps away from picking my very first product. advice on how I can still keep spme profits even with these higher shipping fees ? Id like to get my feet wet first, so i can learn from my first product. Should I just bite the profits and go for a cheaper product, just for educational purposes?
Hello Tatiana! I see in your description box you have links for Jungle Scout and Helium 10. What are your thoughts on Zoof? I am currently enrolled in the Amazing Selling Machine course and I've only used Zoof just wanted to get your opinion:)
I love this girl sooo much. She’s such a smarty, a down to earth sweetheart (Tatiana: this is Dani (Danielle Martin). Thanks so much for your free work!!!
Pre launch preparation like getting influencers, seems tricky but doesn’t mean I don’t try going to see what I can start and going to do my best to get my product out before it launches so I can get volume in. Thank you so much for all your videos they are so resourceful I always leave with so much knowledge that you provide. But like you said I need to implement my learnings 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏻 Sending love and prayers your way💖
I am having an issue with my amazon product and I have a little yellow bell next to my available and was also informed that I need to update my automated inventory listing. Do you know about that, have you had that happen before? Any help or suggestion would be great. Thanks so much.
Dear thanks a lot for great information in this video and I have learned many points. I have one question every one saying that we should have credit card for opening amazon seller account but due to some restriction credit cards not issuing currently by bank and they can issue Master debit card so can you please let me know can I start and open account with this card?
Thank you so much, Tatiana. All of your videos are informative and easy to understand and follow. Your pace and tone are perfect and allows me to get a clear and full grasp on what not to do as a beginner. I look forward to following your videos and advice. I did not know what the locks meant (#4) and now I do. I'll be sure to steer clear of those products until I become a little more comfortable with selling on Amazon. Thank you again. :)
Man oh man this is good. I did not think about a pre-launch!! Going to be working on that, and going to make sure the product I want to sell is not gated. Did not think about that one either.
All this is so good Tatiana! Thank you! I agree with you on setting higher profit margins, and higher profit margins also allow you to make a higher quality product. People don't always want what's just cheap. You gotta pick and cater to your audience, if you want high quality customers. And yes...START NOW! you won't be perfect and you'll make mistakes,, but you'll never know how far you can go if you don't start.
Hi, could you maybe do a video focusing on starting private label in terms of 2022 and market saturation, like if it isnt too late to start? Ive watched some videos on yt on that matter but Im curious what’s your opinion as I trust you more than anyone else on yt
Always very explicit when sharing advice, thanks for your time. I have a question troubling me, are new Amazon Sellers still bound to have not more than 200 units inventory in the beginning?
No, it doesn't apply to every business. It works on Amazon because you have the freedom to price your product as you wish and easily modify that price at any time. Pricing is a strategy.
Hi Tatiana, you said baby products are not gated but I think they are, I am trying to sell baby bibs and I’ve had a hard time because Amazon has been requesting a CPC to submit so I can sell my product, I asked my supplier for it and now every time I try to submit the document Amazon keeps rejecting it and I don’t know why, I honestly don’t know what to do people been telling me to ungate the product but don’t know how to do that, I’m just getting stared and this is being such a headache for me, if you could please read and maybe provide me with any tip u would be super greatful, thank you❤️❤️❤️
It’s possible that the baby bibs product is gated. I don’t think the whole category is. If Amazon is rejecting the certificate there must be a reason. Make sure you followed their instructions in terms of language to submit it in and format. Have you made a case to with Amazon to inquire about this?
@@TatianaJames I have made a case with Amazon but they don’t seem to help, this is the situation: I am selling baby bibs and I have variations of this product of different colors however when I tried to add variations to my listing I created a different listing instead, and for the first listing I submitted the required documents and they accepted it and the product is actually on stock already, but for the second listing that is the same exact product they keep on rejecting the same documents and they don’t even give me a reason why, so I don’t know how is possible that they accept the documents for my first listing and then reject them for the second when is the same exact product but with different colors I am very confused, thank you for taking the time to reply❤️❤️❤️❤️
@@TatianaJames not yet. But I really want to. Your videos are definitely inspiring me to take that leap of faith. I’m so glad I found your channel. I’ve subscribed and have already been taking notes.
