If i'm being honest, in the beginning of my photography journey, I made a lot of MISTAKES... and that's okay, right? YES, because I learned from each and everyone of them. So in this video, I share some of my mistakes and some quick advice on how to prevent yourself from making them. If you're a photographer or content creator, let me know if you made any of these mistakes before. I'd love to hear from you 💛
Also, I kept saying “SIM” card but its definitely called an “SD” card lol.

i got a question. I'm a video editor/ photographer and I ran into this usual client was very dissatisfied of my work. story goes that they want a pictures when I ask them the basic question . when , where , what type of pictures etc. all the answer i got is "oh you pick your the professional " i was lost i didn't know what to do . the client didn't gave me all the information . in the end the result come out negative . i believe is was the lack of communication and they reline on me for their project who have no idea what they want. what you think i should do in that type of situation ?

Firstly, thank you for sharing your experience, I know this can be frustrating. - to answer your question: I believe that communication is definitely Key to making shoots go smoothly. In your situation, the client trusted you with the full vision after you asked questions, so if they’re dissatisfied with your work, it could be a result of them not being clear enough, which is not your fault. So don’t be too hard on yourself! My advice for people that say “oh you’re the professional, work your magic”, still ask all the questions you need so that you and the client have clarity of vision. Because people know what they don’t want quicker than what they do want sometimes! -- this topic could be discussed forever lol

@@byashleymia thank you so much i full agree about the communication part. i did my best but in the end of the day they some client are misinform or have no ideas how to give out good info. on the bright side business going good and at least i got more then one satisficed clients so im happy and thank you for the advice

Ashley do you recommend having 2 phones, one for personal use and the other one just for work use? Or how do you recommend to strictly have a schedule for assisting customers via text as you mentioned in the video? Im not new to working on my own as Im a graphic designer freelancer for a while now but Im newbie in photography as Im gonna start soon in this.

I actually use a schedule to contact them through text. I don’t respond after set hours. The 2 phones is actually my next way that I want to try and streamline client interactions. Google voice is also a great way to centralize client conversations without giving your personal phone number.
