I agree even though i don't have a lot of experience listening to Mistur, but Windir I've been listening for a very long time. Never could get over the music genius he use to make his songs. And i like how there is bands inspired by Windir. And for Mistur i can see how those inspiration took part.
Wow, 2:10 - 3:20 is amazing. I like how it starts relatively minimalist with this tight guitar riff and beautiful, melancholic melody. Then, at 2:52 it becomes epic with the entrance of the choir. Just awesome.
Depressing these gentlemen are not putting out more music ... this is as big a revolution for metal as when At the Gates etc brought the community to melodic death metal there is just nothing that sounds like this - Mistur is incomparable, an absolute standout among thousands of metal releases in the last decade
magnífico, sin duda alguna es una obra de arte en todos los aspectos, el mejor trabajo que he escuchado en mucho tiempo y es magnífico el potencial de los músicos digno de respeto. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 |m|
Solid question. Of course there are noticable similarities - but to me Mistur and Windir are also very, very different. Which is a good thing, because I thoroughly enjoy them both. But to say Mistur is just a continuation of Windir doesn't quite do justice to it's uniqueness, imho.
Of course you ment to say "which makes it even better than I would have dreamed!" but you were too blown away to do so? Don't feel bad, happens all the time :)
what exactly makes Sognametal and black metal different, they both have the original black metal fury, have melodic intros and bridges, and sometimes even both have the key board. the only different is Sognametal is more musically accurate and have some more slow pace parts, but is that really enough to put in a different genre.
Crypt Kid because it started in sogndal valley, also featured things like accordion. Far more intricate composition, and you know it when you hear it. That to me is the most important part. Besides, sognametal was as much a movement as a genre. Valfar is a legend, windir is legendary, and sognametal is the continuation. The remnants of windir created vreid and cor scorpii, two very different bands yet both have the windir vibe (cor scorpii being my personal favorite after windir itself)
