I was there, sitting in the 300 level along the right field foul line. I don't think there is another video on this whole platform other than this one that gives me close to the same level of chills as I felt that night watching this happen in front of me.
For the first time in 20 years, we went to game 162 with something to play for, thanks to Mitch Haniger. The drought may have lasted for one more season, but this, this right here, was the beginning of the end. I still have my Believe sign from that homestand.
@@swingforthefences7439I remember that, the feeling when the board showed the As won and the collective heartbreak in the stadium, Felix was absolutely dealing too and they pulled him to get an ovation
it's incredibly watching just how everybody holds their breath in the 3-2 count in the crowd, you can really see it. I remember watching this, and it really was just a big hold your breath moment!
Big love for Cal, but in my perfect world Mitch would’ve broken the drought for us. Sad to hear he just broke his arm on a HBP with the Giants. Guy has the worst luck but always showed up when he was on the field. Miss you, Mitch!!
@@joshgrobansdrymouth I'm just assuming it's not gonna happen now lol but hey, we're all people with our own lives. Thanks again for this video with Mitch's single, one of my favorite baseball videos ever.
this is probably the loudest I've ever heard a stadium that isn't dodger stadium (although i am also biased so take that as you will) and i truly wish the mariners success in their future
This was at the end of the 2021 season, game 161, Ms need the win to stay alive in the playoff race. Up to this point this game had been a brutal back and forth, with Haniger driving in all the Ms runs and having played the hero several times in the past couple series. So bottom 8, bases loaded, 2 outs, down by a run, recent Mariners hero comes to the plate, video start
He drowns out the loudest Mariners crowd noise in 20 years with some stupid ass music, and has no idea why you said that. Hearing the fans go ape shit was part of the experience. Shutting the music off as he hit the ball would’ve made a great video, but like he said, “nobody gives a shit.”
@@joshgrobansdrymouth I agree. I’m sorry for the rudeness. I just paid my ex wife for another year of child support. I shouldn’t take it out on my fellow Mariner fans. Our future looks great, unlike my finances. Lol
Didn’t get to be at this game but I was at the game Cal Raleigh smashed the walk off home run over the As to send us to the playoffs and end the playoff drought. It was a fireworks night and it was glorious
