From the legendary Full Moon Concert in 1979, 'Live at Rockpalast' german TV
NOTICE:
This part of the Full Moon Concert Night took place at 3 am (it was in 1979!!!). That's the reason why the audience is already very tired and "asleep". And Mitch too ... ;-)))

Was so fortunate to see Mitch in Naples Florida in the early 90s . Growing up in Detroit His music always made me feel good. He Played more 3 hours that night and we were all up dancing. I've see 100s of Concerts and that is still one of my favorites!!

I saw Mitch Ryder in Lansing Mi back in 1986 at a local bar Bootlegger's I was 16 YEARS OLD. My mom took me to the show my sister was his next door neighbor back in the 80's in Detroit . We got in free and got to watch the show. I got to meet him back stage he and the band were playing poker before the show. They kicked us out to get in the mood before the show if you know what I mean. The one thing that impressed me was the drummer spot on and a bad ass. I recall he had on a Saginaw Michigan Police Dept hat for the show.,

I saw Mitch Ryder back in the early '80s with rare earth at the ballroom on New Year's Eve. And they completely killed it. Tore my head off. Rare Earth were incredible too. The dude with the afro that plays lead guitar with rare Earth was shredding his ass off on that Wawa pedal all night long. One of the best concerts I ever saw in my life. Mitch was killing it. 🙋

Had the pleasure of hanging with Mitch (I know, not his real name) one night at Checkers in Sterling Heights, Michigan. He was foul-mouthed and a blast to party with. If you did 250 shows a year on the road, well you'd act like Mitch too! Detroit = Rock 'N Roll!!!

This is possibly the best line-up of Mitch's groups since the band Detroit. There are no weak links here! Mark Schein and Mark Gudgeon on bass with Wilson Owens on drums were solid as a rock when I saw them at the Agora. Schein played a gold-top Les Paul that night,

Yeah….I started playing guitar in 1964. Even though I’m a stone cold New Yorker, Detroit had a more robust rock scene. I think we only had three major bands to come out of New York….The Rascals, Vanilla Fudge and the Vagrants which kinda morphed into Mountain.

Mitch always uses Side Men , this band L 2 R / Rich Shine (G) Billy Cierens (K) Wilson Owens (D) Mark Geujeon (B) Joe Guetz (G) longest lineup without change, most Soulful Combo, every player a True R & B Master. I auditioned Drummers in 72, had to pass on Wilson, by far the Best at 17 but couldn't get in Clubs, fast forward 5 years, he's playing with Mitch, Sweet..! We're still friends, both live in NC... Married his Niece... He plays in a great Church Band... day Funky Y'all... 4 A Chuch Band.

@maraboo72
@maraboo72 8 лет назад
+Panglos He was drunk. At that time they used to have interviews with the musicians during the stage was prepared for the other bands. So Alan Bangs had an interview with him before the performance. That interview was a little bit special. Mitch Ryder later said in an interview that he had been drunk and wanted to excuse for his bad behaviour. But who cares. I did not know him before and that show made me a big fan of his.
