Ik I hate it, it’s like dude, for a game where they talk about size advantage all the time, when a small guy does stuff like this it’s more impressive, like why do people brush that off.
He’s also black. The fact that a white guy has come close , they contractually have to hype it up. It was the greatest game ever. It’s the most points a non person of color has ever scored in the nba
@@julian5699 Nick specifically wanted a time slot like this so he can do things like the podcast and drive his kids to school. He said that before the new time slot aired.
Brou reaction right before and after seeing the graphic had me dead bruh.. Followed by Nick’s laugh… And earlier Wildes with "I don’t know all these people" about those who scored 70+ got me rolling too.. Man I love these 3 🤣🤣🤣
scoring 71 at just 6’1 is more impressive and why don’t they mention that Donovan is the only player in nba history to drop 70+points along with 10+ assist
Can’t even watch undisputed anymore. They don’t mix up their topics and skip repeats himself over and over and over without changing what he says based on how players are playing.
Maybe if Nick would watch Warriors games he’d understand how much Kuminga has actually provided to our team since last month, Kuminga is now one of our better defenders and he’s starting to learn more about the offensive side.
Absolutely no disrespect to Luka's and Donovan's performances it's a massive reach to put them over Bean's 81 which was done in regulation and a tougher defensive Era. R.I.P. Mamba
I'll definitely give that kobe 81 was better and it was a defensive era but please stop that as if that raptors defense was any great it mid still hard to score 81
“Tougher defensive era” is always the excuse, but who was guarding kobe? Was it some all time great defender? No? Then you dont get to credit the entire era for just that one game. People always talk about “tougher defensive era” but when you look at who was actually playing the defense you can say its not as impressive
@@thejuniors5345 no I’m not 😂 can you read todays players travel to much to be considered far more skilled watch any superstar player today and you will see him carry and travel 5 times in one possession
he's right though. Thats the difference between Luka's and Donovan's statline. Donovan had 71/11 and Luka had 60/10 in pts/assists. I think the 11 more points is more impressive than the 12 more rebounds.
@Varun Kamat I disagree getting 20 rebounds along with 60 points and 11 assist shows he was engaged on both ends of the court. Grabbing rebound as a non big and starting the fast break is huge imo. I think you know it to because you also left them out when comparing Luka to what Donovan did
@@jhmxk I didn't leave anything out. also Luka is 6'7 while Donovan is 6'1 so the rebounding difference don't mean that much in terms of comparing performances. He was also only 2 rebounds away from a 70 pt trip dub.
@Varun Kamat bro you literally said Donovan's 71/11 is more impressive than Luka's 60/10 forgetting about the rest of the stat line lol. If Luka only had 60/10 sure you would have a point but that is not the case. Sure Luka is 6'7 but he is not a big (PF/ C) those are the only guys who get 20 rebounds in a game, and it's still impressive because you denying the other opportunities to score. The more rebounds you have the less chances the other team can score. Since Luka is a non big he can start a fast break and get easy points and assist
@@kingangel3252 Lol shot attempts? The game was over by regulation because he decided shoot while he was on fire. I wonder why they needed overtime and Kobe didnt? Also outscoring a team with 60 in 3 quarters, while sitting the entire fourth is more impressive! Great game by Mitchell but Kobe ended the game in regulation with 12 more shots and less assist.
Chris is the guy that completes this show, because he keeps the hilarious battles between Nick and Wild leveled out. Nick's bias he takes away when Nick tries to make Wilds debate wack
I love you Wildes....you in my opinion have quickly become a must watch with your wit and humour...."Did you see that rebound" for example....thank you x
@@teancummccarthy8419 Besides the fast pace, it's the spacing and the no hand checking and the loose travel/carry calls. It is a combination of many things all coming together.
Nah keep that dude away from here. He has legit reasons to fall out w Skip over the last few months but Skip's tweet yesterday was not it and if Shannon thinks it was he lacks reading comprehension. And then you can't fit with the three dudes on this show who are all about making logically sound, intelligent arguments. Shannon should go be a recurring guest on First Take basically fulfilling the same role Spears / Perkins / Mad Dog role, loud screaming and funniness. Or get his own podcast type show, or maybe you can put him with that bald fraud they put in the old FTF timeslot, try to salvage that. In reality he fits best with Skip, sadly for them but that's the truth. Oh yeah, and move FTF to the Undisputed timeslot if Skip& Shannon really break up. You can give Skip his own podcast type show like Cowherd on a less relevant timeslot
People people saying warriors are trash on the road. But then they forget that the Warriors in the playoffs have the longest reigning run of at least one road win in consecutive series in nba history Like Mike Breen said: “ They always manage to win 1 on the road”
rebounding is different now. Most are uncontested. Luka had 5 contested rebounds in his 21. Donovon Mitchell had 1 less contested rebound than Luka had in his 21 rebounds
You know, it's hilarious that Wildes is trashing the critical importance of rebounding when rebounding was literally THE DIFFERENCE in the Warriors-Hawks game they go on to talk about.
Kobe’s 81 adjusted for inflation is like 120 points. His 63 in 3 quarters OUTSCORING the whole Mavericks team will never be done again. You could have 80 going into the 4th and more than likely the game score is like 90-95. Defense isn’t the same.
Nobody is scoring 81 points in a regulation game like Kobe did! Kobe’s 62 in 3 quarters against Dirk and the Mavs out scoring the whole team is more impressive than any of the current scoring outbursts. This is the easiest era to score in NBA history.
People have completely FORGOTTEN that game against the Mavs. That was the most dominant performance I have seen (I'm 41 y.o) in an NBA game against a high-caliber team. 62 in 3 quarters, outscores a 60+-win team w/ the MVP, doesn't play the 4th quarter. Nothing's even close.
Dusty is just the producer who is responsible for putting up those stat sheets, not the one actually making them lol. Wildes told us that a few weeks ago
It’s still worth watching because it really is the best sports talk show going right now. But with that said, I get it. The interrupting thing is annoying. However, they do seem to be listening and them mentioning it here is proof. They have said they read the comments so hopefully Nick realizes eventually that he is not the whole show and everyone else should have time to speak uninterrupted. Politely interrupting someone doesn’t negate that you felt your opinion needed to be heard before they got to speak a few sentences.
Has anyone, other than Mitchell, scored 71 points and dished out 11 assists in the same game? Has anyone, other than Mitchell, had a 71, 11, 8 stat line? I could be wrong, and I probably am, but I don’t think so. So if that’s the case, is Donovan’s game any less historic?
