You're an absolute genius and I'm glad I stumbled upon this video, I've been wracking my brain on how I would hang my saw on the wall and get it off the floor!
It's interesting to see your videos since you're doing the same things I want to do. I truly appreciate that you take the time to make the videos, as I know how much time it takes to do a video. 5 minutes of content takes about 4 hours to do. :) Keep up the great work, and the details (which you do) are important and often overlooked.
Finally found a great video on a wall mount like this. I’ve been kicking the idea around for awhile but it’s nice to have an example to work off of. Thanks! Also, Go Vols!
Great idea. Trying to clean up my garage as well, or get as bunch off the ground as possible using dead space. Did you contemplate hanging that utility cart w/ the saw still attached? That was my original thought to do, but this gives me a backup if thats a bad idea.
Exactly. I'm looking to see if anyone has tried using a sliding mitre saw that is mounted vertically on a wall (like a panel saw). Has anyone tried it?
Thanks! Looked everywhere for this! I have a Dewalt miter saw. Can I use the rigid mounts and a rigid miter stand? Or would these mounts fit on a Dewalt stand?
... and some big honkin' stepper motors, articulated arms, and an Arduino controller allowing you to control the whole thing with your cell phone from your recliner on the other side of the shop. Yep!
@@kehlmeier thanks, did this as well using your idea. For anyone in the future 1-1/4in spaced about 5.5in center to center works great for ryobi mounts. I tried 5.75in at first but it looked a little too wide so I went with my gut on the 5.5in
Any reason not to leave it on the stand fold up against the wall? After-all, you’ll still need to store the stand. Only concern is the angle of the blade on the stand when upright. Not sure if the weight of the saw at an angle will cause it to lose 90 degrees?
