Hi buddy, thanks for your video. I have an LG DLEX3700V dryer that's giving me the error code TE1. I looked it up online and found that it might be a bad thermistor. I ordered a new one (model 6323EL2001B) and replaced it. I measured the resistance of the old one, which was about 8K ohms, and the new one reads around 10.8K ohms. From what I found online, the normal range should be around 11K ohms, so I think the new thermistor is fine. I also tested the round thermal fuse you mentioned in your video, and it reads 0.04 ohms, which seems normal. I took apart the vent and cleaned everything, inside and out. There’s no dust or blockage near the two sensors. After reassembling everything, I double-checked all the connections to make sure they're tight. I also measured the resistance at the yellow and blue wires leading into the control board, and it shows around 10K ohms, which means the connection to the board should be fine. Once I put everything back together, I reset the dryer by holding the start button for five seconds while it was unplugged. But when I powered it back on, it ran for a few seconds and then showed the TE1 error again. I tried restarting it a few times, but the TE1 error keeps coming up. Do you think this could be a control board issue? The board is pretty expensive, so I don’t want to buy one without being sure. Could you help me figure out how to use a multimeter to test the board and what kind of readings I should be looking for to determine if the board is bad? Thanks for your time, and I really appreciate any help you can offer!
I have a 2005 f150, do you think it's the same to adjust the Transmission band? Makes a jump when it changes to a second gear…I hope you can help me! Thanks!!

My car makes an accelerating up sound, A little like this but like a robot starting up kind of sound?. I just got new tires so it could be the stress of new front wheels. I've heard other cars make this noise, It does emphasize it a little more sometimes up until 15 mph above. I'ts a Mercury Grand Marquis, Idk if those cars have more of a tendency to quietly and seemingly normal get bad on their torque converters.
@@jenesuispluslameme I just order from Amazon. There are websites that sell just appliance parts and I typed in my model number in those sites to get the part numbers, then I just found those parts on Amazon and ordered
@@TheVintageEngineer I checked again you did say 7/8. I’ve having a hard time trying to find pass through socket kit with that size in it. Also it was a 1/2 drive?
@TheVintageEngineer - Can I do this adjustment with the transmission mounted to the vehicle ? OR this adjustment can only be done by removing transmission
@@TheVintageEngineer My 98 Ranger 2.5L RWD gives a light jolt / bump during upshift from 1-2 and 2-3. I am hoping only the bands need to be adjusted. Could it possibly be bad solenoids / valve body ? Vehicle has 94K miles
@@TheVintageEngineer Yes, I performed drain and fill once. Replaced trans filter as well. Fluid level is on mark. So you mean my clutch pack could be bad and it needs to be rebuilt ?
Thank youuuuuu, Anthony, or is it Seth Rogen twin!? This is the perfect how-to video if LG (and maybe other?) dryer suddenly stops heating since unit has 2 heating elements and very unlikely both fail at the same time. No front and rear tear down and only 1 screw removed to access faulty thermostat!! Genius!! Saved so many hours compared to heating element replacement! $14 for both thermostats on Amazon and easy for amateur to replace, and now I’ll be returning the heating element unit which was also 5x more expensive. $14 vs $950 new unit vs $400-500 service repair in MN, so thought I’d try it.
Here's one for you older Schumacher charger, was working great, heard loud pop. Now can't even hook up to battery just dead shorts even when off...any ideas
The video is informative and helpful. I am experiencing the same issue and have located the necessary parts on Amazon, with prices ranging from $9 to $25. Due to the mixed reviews, I have opted to purchase the parts directly from LG, including shipping, for a total cost of $78.
I love how you showed yourself using the quick clamps to hold it in place. This is so useful for someone who is a DIY'er. The other tricks are very cool as well! I did NOT expect all that. I thought this might be just another video of someone installing screen material. I felt like I was right there next to you learning! You're a great teacher! Thanks!
This is the longest video I have ever watched all the way through on RU-vid. I just gotta say, thank you very much for this great in-depth video. You’re a phenomenal teacher. Thank you.
Thank you Brother for the detailed video her 2017 had all mounts go bad and After watching your video she thinks im a ford tech necause i did all 3 mounts in about 45 mins thanks to your video
I am having trouble finding a set of sockets to do this adjustment, is there a specific one you recommend for the double square sockets, I would love a link to a set because I can’t find any at the auto parts store or harbor freight, thank you
@@zacharybishir2411 I just looked around and you are right it’s hard finding them. Mine came from an old USA made craftsman set back when they were sold at Sears in 3 different sizes. You could use a tap socket like the ones Lisle makes. Instead of 8 point they are just square so they hold the tips of taps
Yo, Yo, Yo, this was a great video. 3 YEARS AGO, MY REPAIR EXPERIENCE IS 8/2024. Now, I have to be honest, once I decided to attack this problem with my dryer. I ordered the parts from Amazon, and I have to say. I took me about 45 minutes because of the location. but I saved myself $$$$. THANKS A BUNCH.
@@TheVintageEngineerI just swapped the bearings on my son’s bike. I ended up using a pilot bearing puller from harbor freight. The front wheel came right out. The back bearings were in there good. I had to soak them with WD-40 and even heat them up a bit. Replaced them with some Timken bearings and now it’s nice and smooth.
I have a 2011 Explorer that was idling roughly. After realizing the mount was trashed, I followed your video and finished the job in under 2 hours. Ford wanted almost $900 to do this. I got a mount at Advanced Auto for $120 and the car is idling super smooth again. The hardest part was (as stated) getting the 2 lower bolts threaded in and torqued on the body side of the mount. Took me a few tries of raising and lowering the jack to find the right spot, but finally got it. Thanks for a great video!!
Awesome video, I did the porch on my house when Screen-Tight first came out around 1990, it's a very easy system to install. About 5 years later I went on to start a part-time mobile screening business on the Coast of North Carolina professionally installing Screen-Tight and other systems for porches, rescreening window and door screens in a converted bread truck, then purchased an 18ft trailer to build a mobile workshop. Your tips were spot on, I used the Craftsman Handi-cut that you mentioned to cut the vinyl in the same orientation that you did. Later started using a mitre-saw with a 60 tooth blade, that provided a cleaner more accurate cut. I once had a customer that we had installed the system on her 2nd level porch and she later wanted the underside of the deck screened as well to keep mosquitos out, what a pain trying to screen over your head, but it turned out nice.
I have a turret drill that will hold two bits. So, I can have a drill bit on one side and a screwdriver bit on the other. There is no need for two drills.
Ithink you missed your calling, you should have been a teacher. You reminded me of my 7 th grade science teach who i have the greatest respect for. Yes in not for that one man in my educational years i might not have chose a career in science. Recently retired i had a fulfilling 38 years as a scientist, at times working on things not yet fully understood by humanity. However I also saw disappointment far to many times, discovering devices that could have changed our entire world , instead they were locked away in someone's vault. We would ask about when can we see these things in the real world, same answer soon, soon never came and today we are still burning fossil fuel, of course we all know who is stopping that, the ones that stand to lose the most, oil companies. Democrat politicians that control washington and work with corrupt agencies like the FBI, together they are accepting bribes from oil companies to keep certain devices off the market. This explains where these career congressman and senators become multi millionaires, certainly not from their salaries. The only hope of stopping it is Donald Trump, he has the balls to shut down the entire Agency, and open those vault doors, they know it that why they are all in on stopping him. OFF shore accounts no telling how many billions are there. Mainstream media gets a cut to remain silent. Is any of it provable YES with one snitch. insider
Go to any appliance part website and type your model number in, from there I use their part list to get an OEM part number and use it to search to either order an OEM part or aftermarket part through Amazon/eBay.
