Thanks Sedge! I used your method to make these doors from your Festool Live video. This video fills in detail that you didn't have time to explain in that format. When I did my doors I added an edge profile around the door to match my drawer fronts. I had concerns that the domino would break through but they turned out great. Thanks for what you do! Excellent video as usual. Well done. It’s definitely the little things that set a quality job apart. The toothbrush, the gauge to insure the matched corner joints, proper sanding techniques, and marking just to name a few. Thanks you as always.

Should be gouge instead of gauge. Little things like proof reading.

Never thought of pinning the Dominos. Great little trick of the trade to keep everything together. Also, the little extra to center the cathedral pattern on the plywood panels make is look very professional.

I have the CMS with a 1400 mounted in it. I also have a new 1010 to be my hand held router. Best of both worlds! Hard to beat that CMS for being a compact and very accurate table.

I love this (discontinued) CMS router table. I also love this really good demonstration. Why is this router table discontinued? So nice to see you can safely push against the wood through the safeguard of the dust extraction fence. Really good instructional video 🙂

You’re amazing and very entertaining. Thank you. Question. I’m trying to put a domino in a 60 degree cut on the end of a 2 x 6 (flat side). It’s hard to register the domino machine with that step angle. Is there a trick? I can send you a photo.
@sedgetool
@sedgetool 5 месяцев назад
if it is a beveled cut set the angle of the machine at 30 degree

Sedge is this a 1/4" or 3/8" bead? ever consider 3/8" thick center panels?
@sedgetool
@sedgetool 2 месяца назад
This is a link to the exact bit I use : www.leevalley.com/en-us/shop/tools/power-tool-accessories/router-bits/30150-edge-beading-bits?item=16J4352 I have never considered using a 3/8 thick panel because I think the shoulders of the groove would be too thin... just my thoughts......

Does pinning the dominoes help that much-- why not pin during clamping before the glue dries?
@sedgetool
@sedgetool Год назад
Yep … you can pin as the glue dries if you don’t have enough clamps !!!

@@sedgetool thank you - this video was fantastic timing. I’m doing a project now with mitered cabinet doors. I didn’t care for most of the joinery techniques I saw online so I was hoping I could use my domino for the joints.
