No it only deletes and programs new fobs. Doesn't do anything for key chips

So just remember if you have a chip key this doesn't program that. This is only for the keyless entry. That being said this wipes all remotes and starts fresh so be sure to have all the remotes you plan to use present at the time of programming.

Yeah I would believe so. They wouldn't change the system if they don't have too.

This will only program the keyless remotes not the actually key transponder. You need a proper programming tool/scan tool for that.

@@DiamondStarWerks In other words, if you have NO KEY (apart from an emergency one in the master fob) - and just a plastic clip/on - in the ignition (when the vehicle has the fob only "inside the vehicle, and a plastic plug clips into the keyhole position to turn to start & stop etc.,) only having one fob bought with a vehicle, can be expanded into several fobs "for different family members" - as that way - anyone can take a vehicle first) say a midnight-shift worker takes it to work, and later another takes it home via early morning shopping, and a third takes it to school later (and maybe gets a ride home with someone else) and thus if the vehicle is "left somewhere" near a theatre say - then a forth fob can bring it back - after a late night theatre, for the original worker to take it to work again (if they get a ride home after work with public transport say) .. Four people in the same family - each with a fob that works, would make it a LOT cheaper than getting branded replacements (here in NZ it's about $600 a wireless /keyless remote fob) - or for three of them to get busses and taxis everywhere, whilst a vehicle sits at someone's workplace - wasting away unused?

You are correct yes, I believe I stated this at the beginning of the video. This is just for the keyless entry part. I just wanted to show that it would work with newer style key fobs that were key and fob together. I didn't mean to give the impression of it can program the security chip for the key itself

This procedure is only to program the remote keyless entry part of the key. To program the transponder you need a different procedure that involves using a scan tool and entering a password

pin 1 and 4 of the obd2 connector. it above your feet in the driver seat. google obd2 connector pinout, they are all the same as far as pin locations

@@DiamondStarWerks So - what one really needs, is to get an actual "obd2 connector pinout" PLUG (connect internally in that plug, a direct short between pins 1 + 4) and just insert that into the connector, to easily change / reprogram FOBS (next time) if that's going to be your new daily job.. (covoid has ripped my other business apart - and after seeing several of the same videos on RU-vid) - this appears to be a very good alternative business. If it costs nearly nothing but "time" - then time is all one charges for - as fobs are a dime a dozen at any wrecker, so their cost would also be minimal

No other way except with a programming tool to my knowledge. You will have to fix the hazard button to do it this way.

It has to be done fairly quickly. You can try putting it in one pin and then setting the other end of the wire close to the other pin. Then get your other hand ready on the hazard switch. Then push the wire into the pin and then immediately press the hazard switch the correct amount of times. It has to be done quick enough. I had to try 2-3 times before I got it

The hazard button doesn't work at all?

@@DiamondStarWerks The hazard button works to turn on the hazard lights. That's it. No programming mode or anything else

@@little.bucket The key has to be in the lock cylinder with the key in the off position. within 10 seconds of grounding the pin the hazard must be pressed 6 times. if the doors lock then unlock its ready to program. If this doesn't work you may have an omron transmitter. In this case you need to make sure all doors lock and unlock properly with the key. Now ground the pin, within 10 seconds have all doors closed, turn the key to on or acc then off for 1 sec 3 times, if this works doors should lock and unlock. Then you have one minute to program any remote

if none of that works there may be something wrong with the cars keyless entry system.

Not all cars have that. You may need to pull up the trim around the shifter to get to the release arm

Not that i know of, just have to be quick.

With key in ignition on off put 1 paper clip end into pin #4 on obd. Turn key into ON position(dont start engine) then put the 2nd end of the paper clip into pin #1 on obd. As soon as you put the paper clip in click your emergency lights 6 times. I tried many ways about 6 times nothing worked and almost gave up till I tried it like I just told you. Good luck!

just google obd 2 pinout and you'll see. they are all exactly the same on every car
