You may think that this is just a regular traction Mitsubishi but once it starts moving you'll realize that it's actually hydraulic. Other than that this is just a typical 1990s Mitsubishi elevator. The right hand elevator was not working. As its name suggests, the whole two podium floors are filled with computer and electronic stores.

Mitsubishi never fails to impress! This hydraulic elevator is quite fast and stops smoothly, but sometimes a bit rough when you arrive at the basement.

Depends on the maintenance perhaps. Heard that some American Mitsubishi hydraulics in the U.S. aren't as good as the ones in Asia. I filmed an American Mitsubishi hydraulic elevator at Dubai Airport and it stopped very hard on the way down (will publish the video next week).

I'm usually in Asia in Manila, Philippines. While I was there, I tried one of the mitsubishi elevators in my hotel. And it turns out they were right! The American mitsubishi elevators are worse than the Asia ones. I usually ride Schindler, Mitsubishi, and Hitachi elevators mostly.

Oh it's that place with the Carpet shop that still uses Neon outside! I think I have crossed that street and remember seeing the same shop a year ago haha

According to Mark's Elevators and Etc this model is HVJ-G. Same model as the one seen at Emirates Tower and Singapore Expo. GPS which is the model seen at Plaza Senayan is actually a traction model even though the fixtures are the same as this one.

But I think he just stated the model without any evidence. Honestly I will avoid using that model name until there is enough evidence to avoid misconception.

My favourite elevator company 😄 These I’d say are quite decent. While they’re slower for sure than a standard traction, as another comment suggested, they’re pretty fast for hydraulics. I just wonder if two lifts with that capacity, travelling at that speed, in such a place is enough, 'cos I imagine the traffic can build up 😅

Going between G and M might not be a problem since people can use the escalators instead, but going to and from the basement parking lot might be a little bit of problem since that floor is not served by escalators.

There aren't many floors so it should be fine.

Quite fast for a hydraulic!

Mitsubishi's roped hydraulics tend to go fast. And they're smooth as well not like the American ones which are pretty crap according to some American filmers. I filmed an American style Mitsubishi hydraulic at Dubai Airport which stopped pretty abrupt on the way down.

Tbh I found it interesting to see a 1990s mitsubishi hydraulic with modern fixtures. I mean...more often than not Mitsubishi would use their 70s-90s analog indicators and fixtures for hydraulics (e.g. Myoung Ga Puri Matahari, KLIA, Intercontinental Bali, Kansai Airport, and (perhaps) the derelict two-floor, three-speed door one at Pasaraya Grande)

I think the ones with vintage fixtures might probably be a cheaper hydraulic model, but I don't know.

Aren't the KLIA ones purposely designed like that, but using newer controllers etc?

Not sure about that. It's difficult to tell due to lack of valid information.

It looks like there's an office tower here?
@idl3k_elev

There's a residential tower above. Behind these lifts is a hidden service lift which also serves the tower; it's only a standard Mitsubishi GPS with a bell chime so I didn't bother to film.
