Thank you very much. Could not work out how to get head unit out. Kenwood told me to remove trim off stereo. I'm glad I didn't follow their instructions.
@@retrophil8241 you absolutely helped me out man. Managed to fix the DVD player via another RU-vid video when I got the cover off. Only thing is, the kids expect to watch ‘Frozen’ every time they’re in my truck now 😩🤷😂! Thanks again 👍
@@Derwentmole lol. You may get them earphones.. The reason I needed that unit out was because it kept losing power. The connection on the back of the radio wasn't right. The slightest move on the plug and it lost power. I don't know if that was a common issue or not.
cheers, having issues with my head unit, navy doesn't do anything anymore, just get a blank screen and reversing camera doesn't even give a blank screen anymore... it will stay on the radio or iPod screen. Gonna take the shroud of in morning and check connections.
This head unit was giving power issues.. It was just the connector plug that kept losing contact.. I've known of other L200's with this unit to have issues and it's just due to the pins in the connector plug.
For me to change the original headunit to an aftermarket CarPlay one, do you need a new surround or would the existing surround go back over another headunit? If you need a surround do you know where or which one to buy?
I'm not sure. I'd assume it was the same size as a aftermarket Double Din stereo. This one was giving trouble by losing power.. The pins on the plugs on back are the problem.
@@retrophil8241 had a feeling I would be able to do that, but wasn’t too sure, I’ll sort the new CarPlay unit out and then see if I need to do anything different with it,
