This generation of lancer was crazy I love it soo much that I can't express it in words. The level modifications that can be done to Lancer are endless. A Lancer without modifications is not a Lancer.

@@Moonlight-hq3gi only few guys have tasteful tuning like those in "The drivers hub " I was happy to see them at first But later on guys in this channel act as if only German cars are built for tuning and modifications they don't know how to present a car They don't launch it neither they show what the car is capable of that's why i stopped watching their garbage content. Sleepers are better than riced ones.

Still I own this car without any modifications, a black colour Lancer. Lot of space inside,good handling with sufficient power & INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION. Mileage is 10-11 km/l . The engine is pure gem. Annual service below 4000. Insurance is just 5000 ( third party)

@@ZLone93256 Lancer is serviced in local workshop ( i know him for many years) . Spare parts finding is not that problem. I've already 2,3 air & oil filters and spark plugs in my hand.( From boodmo) which means for the next 3 years I don't need to wait for it 😆. Rest parts is in mint condition. Mine is 2003 model SLX with 1lakh km .

@@ZLone93256 ah yes it's reliable car. I have a plan to buy a used Pajero Sport or Honda civic keeping my Lancer aside. These are very trouble free vehicles . I don't need silly features other than airbags. Hope my dream will come true by the end of 2022

Observing keenly the stability of the car I forgot I need to hear what faisal is saying 👀 Damn it's from 1998 and engines feel young and sporty enough and can last for a lifetime. Feeling sad for Mitsubishi. If there's one person who made us love this car was one and only Paul Walker. Paul Walker was a man with good taste Mk4 supra, lancer evo, skyline GT-R r-34 and r-35, Mitsubishi eclipse, subaru imprezza and the cars he owned showed the true signs of an enthusiast.

I swear this is one of the best sedans I had ever seen. Like the price that it came in was extremely value for money. It's sad to see how people rejected these beautiful sedans over jacked up hatchbacks. Having one of them would be the coolest thing ever.

It's a great car, btw some lancers have height adjustable seatbelts. Also a fun fact - There was a Lancer Invex 1.8 (120bhp) with 4 speed tip-tronic transmission sourced from Porsche. Do try to get a hold of one for a review, there were a couple of them sold in India.

The ir latest pajero sport would have given competition to the toyota fortuner and even Mitsubishi outlander was only launched in petrol versions so that was not selling in huge numbers...

1. Mitsubishi engines are known to last long. This generation of Lancer is designed to be timeless. Driveability was awesome in this car. 2. there was another car which actually beat City, it was Baleno 1.6

A lot of memories i have when i took it to Delhi in 2014 and took it places like Rajasthan, punjab, himachal etc. Using it as a primary vehicle until 2016 because of its ride handling and comfort.. Specially purchased the 1998 model as it was CBU brought in directly from Japan before the assembly plant set up in 1999 in chennai

I used to own a 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer in Dammam Saudi Arabia in 2002-08 it was a used car but it was in mint condition. After selling this car I purchased a used 2004 Chevrolet Lumina in 2008 and used it till 2014 after that I purchased a brand new 2014 Ford Expedition which is still going strong.

Seat belt hight adjustment is there for this model, I m fortunate to own one .. There is sliding cup holder, which u missed, steering tilt, power antenna . Although very good review.
