I am a Ford guy and currently have a Titanium Everest. But it annoys me that you cannot get ADAS tech on Everest unless you buy the top model. Ford is the missing the boat there. So this model definitely appeals to me.

I have a 2016 Ford Ranger and just got the new montero black series. Ang lamang ni Ford ay yung sobrang lambot na steering. 😊

If I had not been introduced to the Fortuner LTD, I would’ve definitely got the Montero Black Series. Obviously, the Forty lacks on comfort and 3rd row convenience. But it does have the most powerful 2.8L engine. But damn, the Monty Black really hits all my checklist. Great specific comparison!

I was once a montero owner. When it comes to comfort, all I can say montero has it all. The suspension is superb 👌. You won't feel tired on a long trip.

Can vouch! Did a Baguio to Manila with only 1 stop in Bulacan. No body sore. Super comfortable. Far Cry from the Fortuner. Did the same trip. Parang 2 weeks akong nakahiga sa bed sore.

Great review. Someone asked in Reddit which top end 4x2 Suv to get and majority mentioned Montero. I was confused at first but now i know why. Ford really dropped the tech game when they limited the full ADAS to the 4x4 TOTL variant.

May 4x2 na may festures ng 4x4 (adas, 360 camera etc.) Yung wildtrak variant, mas mahal nga lang kesa sa titanium 4x2. Around 2.369m sya.

I just bought the GLX just 2 months ago. As much as I've enjoyed the ride and comfort, if not for the huge discounts I wouldn't get a Montero since it's long overdue for next gen and really outdated interiors. I'd rather get a Terra or Everest. But the GLX is on sale, now it has the same price as mid level Innova so I think it's worth it.

Could be better if they reduced exterior chrome accents especially the ones on the sides of the windows and the door handles to make it truly a "black edition" worthy in my opinion.

Coming from a Ranger, and having had other Japanese cars I still cannot see an Everest as a forever car. Hindi tulad ng Mitsubishi saka Toyota kahit yung mga luma may piyesa pa ngayon.

It's basically the 4x2 version of the TOTL everest but front bumper is the same as the ranger

Monty is more comfortable than the fortuner but in my experience, Terra and MU-X have more comfortable ride. Power wise, its matulin comparable to the MU-X. Pero pag na remap ang MU-X ay mas halimaw pa yan sa MIVEC. What I don't like with the montero is it's too narrow and tank capacity is just 68L compared to its competitors which have 80L and some even can travel up to 1k kms without refueling. Monty is up for update na. Masyado na luma ang body at dated na ang tech.

The biggest fail of the Montero Black Series is the resolution of the 360 camera and the aircon knob. But its still the best buy due to great driving dynamics, fuel economy and large discounts.

it doesn’t have the most powerful engine, hp and torque specs wise, but you’d be surprised how it can put that power down with its 8-speed Aisin transmission (same as that of the LC200 and Lexus LX 570)

@@benzonjhermogeno yes kahit pa yung 2.8 na forty iiwanan padin nyan ni monty .. medyo may delay lng talaga sa accelaration ang monty pero pag diniinan mo yung tapak talagang mapapasandal yung ulo mo sa likod, ang ganda din ng NHV ng montero minimal lng yung noise galing sa labas tapos samahan mo pa ng super ganda na suspension, tulog lahat ng pasahero mo sa byahe kala mo nasa eroplano hahaha

If you are 3 abreast on the second row both outer passenger will find the sides of their head banging on the roof. One of the most uncomfortable suv ive ridden. The engine and transmission is smooth though.

it is discounted i think, even in finance, they have a lots of freebies free 2 MA, and a zero downpayment, depends on the dealer. i think the all new Montero sport is coming soon.

Advice to the manufacturer... put a giant fuel tank that will take you 2,500 km... and the interior. Look and compare it with the Chery Tiggo 9... when you come from work, you want all the buttons close to your fingers.

Bakit nasabing mas the best montero sa everest meron na rin bang auto park ang montero tulad ng everest.. Kung wala pa, the best pa rin ang FORD EVEREST!
