One tip is to mix 2 cycle oil in with the diesel fuel, it helps put back the lubricant in the fuel. With the new diesel it has a lower Sulfur content, and the old diesels need it to run happy.
@@fixingthingswithpastorbill3840 I would not weld, with rain tight it is still removable and will hold better. Mine has been on for over a year and it has not come loose.
@@candeservices1 I am only going to weld the top side of the Cupler so that water can’t running to the cylinder head the bottom side I’m gonna leave the set screws there so I can remove the muffler necessary
Hi pastor Bill. I need another tip for my satho please. My front wheels turn opposite direction and the 4x4 doesn't engage anymore. What do I have to do to fix that ? Thank you
When you say the front wheels turn opposite, is that from side to side or from front to back? If you’re lifting up the tractor and one wheel turns opposite of the other, that’s normal that shows the differential is working when the driveshaft is not moving. Now, for the 4 x 4, not engaging, the problem could be inside the transmission not to worry, except that it might be some hard work. The issues are usually not hard to work on. There are several bolts on top of the transmission that holds down the shifter cover. By taking them off , you can look down into the gearbox and on one of the sides. You should be able to see the shifter linkage for the 4 x 4. There should be a fork that slides some gears forward and backwards that engages the front drive to the gears the gearbox also this is a good opportunity to see if gear cases full gear oil or not. I know this is not much that’s your next step is to visually observe. It may be that the fork is broken or the shaft that moves. The fork has a shear pin shared. So at this point, it’s a visual inspection needs to take place. I hope this helps . PastorBill
The fuel system is fairly simple on these trucks. Tank , pickup tube, line from tank, fuel filter, fuel pump, carburetor. Take the filler cap off and blow air back into your tank, this will clear any blockage in the lines and pickup tube. Then place cap on and repeat blowing air back into your tank , this will pressurize the tank and force fuel back through your fuel lines. It will also reveal any leaks because the fuel is now under pressure not vacuum. If all that checks out replace the pump it’s cheep and the diaphragm are often causes a fuel pump failure and can also cause fuel to be pumped into the crank case oil system. Last but not least carburetor, on top of the carb is a little tube “ it’s a vent tube” fill this with mixed Gas and Oil , this will help loosen up float and valve, it will also help seal up gaskets that have dried out. Tap the carburetor on the fuel bowl to release help release the float valve. These are the steps I use to troubleshoot a simple fuel system.
