Not too bad, it looks a lot better. However, I'd get the Dremel out using a burr and completely refinish the frame with the engraving on, so its all uniform. A Dremel with wire brush wheel might be able to clean the knurling up a bit more too. Also, I think there might be an end ratchet missing off the back of the thimble. I might buy a basket case and have a go...I got inspired.
Sir I removed the spindle to lubricte it and after it was done I tried to scre the spindle back but it had become tight to screw it? Anybody pls suggest the solution
I assume it's not cross threaded? This one came apart and was re-assembled ok. I use it now and again and it's not as free as my other micrometers maybe that's because it has been serviced and needs time to wear in. Sorry not sure what to say after that..good luck hope you get it sorted.
@@LordPrecision you can't inspect it by looks. I have had over 3 micron errors in perfectly good looking Japanese micrometer screws. In my best ones I can't tell the error is there. The reading in this is 1 thou but the accuracy is still 1 tenth
