Prada is always ahead of the time. In my opinion Prada is one of the very few brands that is able to design something philosophically interesting and commercially viable. I love it ❤
At first I did not like this collection, but in just a few days it grew on me; especially in the context of all the other mens presentations right now, Prada is doing something completely different. The two looks from 3:30 - 3:49 may look mundane but they do realistically capture the spirit of two young workers leaving the office on a cold winter evening, after putting on their coat and scarf to protect them from the elements while simultaneously yearning for an escape into nature. Coats slightly too big, pants slightly too short... shirts in post-it-note yellow, drab suits in gray and black... but pops of earthy green and oceanic blue, styled with swimwear caps, all drenched in fluorescent office lighting.
I was waiting to see someone say this.. Muccia has always been keen to move ahead into styles that can appear ugly upon first glance, but while many other brands continue to beat the sensibilities of the late 90s into the ground it's exciting to see something that feels challenging and fresh.
This is a refreshing and welcome direction. I am glad to see more classic and minimal designs in the coming years. These past few years of streetwear inspired looks have been awful. This is a more sophisticated vision of fashion and I appreciate it.
This Orada collection is by far much better than in previous years....I like the trenchcoats on trousers plus the black leather shoes .....so elegant and classy for guys, especially now that it's cold season ....
I like the FW 2024 men's collection. It's a continuation of past season, carrying the Prada DNA, but renewed and refreshed with new colors, i like the thick belts.
How I wish Raf Simons would restart his own label up again. He was so much more creative, expressive, directional and ground breaking when he done his own Raf Simons label. Loved the soundtrack :) I can imagine Miuccia and Raf sitting down before the show and Miucci saying ok what about the show soundtrack and Raf was like It's ok you don't need to worry about it I'll sort it out ;) It was totally Raf xd
The return of the tie!! If you pick up a coat, pants from another, a pair of shoes, etc, you have an outfit you can REALLY wear. After all you spent a fortune!😮😊
This is more Raf than Muicia which is absolutely genius. It still maintains the essence of the house but more rebellious than the old too perfect and expensive. Now the possibilities are endless but still very delicious.
Definitely.. Baggy has peaked, we'll certainly start seeing trends heading back the other direction over the next few years. I predict The Row and the like will start to feel tired soon.
Defining a sexy Italian man in Prada: Unique neuroticism, a distinct and rebellious personality. Periodic bouts of emotional detachment, occasionally entangled in irresistible quirks. He's captivated by semiotics and futuristic philosophy, presenting a remarkable sense of hyper-control.
While there is nothing new here, overall this collection (specifically the coats), were fairly commercial and will do ok at retail, this collection as well as Dolce and Gabbana, Neil Barrett, Brunello Cucinelli, Emporio Armani etc. was a strong return to tailoring and real clothes which we haven't seen in some time, I think this season is geared more toward a older customer because of the global luxury downturn (younger customers are spending less on luxury so high end brands are targeting a wealthier older client), and that was obvious from the older people clapping and the younger attendees not after Miuccia and Raf walked out....
Hello, we're the Korean broadcasting team, "SBS Running Man" Can we use this video source for our broadcast? If possible, please let me know how to use it Thank you. 안녕하세요 한국 방송 sbs 런닝맨 팀입니다 우리 방송에 이 영상 소스를 사용해도 되나요? 사용 가능하면 뭐라 표기하고 사용해야 할지 말씀해 주세요 감사합니다
…walking through the office and seeing them standing by the water cooler. DRESSED IN PRADA MENSWEAR!!! i glance over and they all avoid my stare. “are they talking about me?” they scurry back to their cubicles. i’ll get to the bottom of this later. but first… let me order one of those caps & return some of these emails!! (where’s that music coming from?) I WANNA WORK IN THIS OFFICE!!!
One thing I've never seen discussed is who gets invited to these runway shows? There's certainly a massive crowd at this one. How many of them come for the purpose of gathering photos to produce knockoff collections for discount clothing companies?
Nope. Raf is not adding anything to Miucca's Prada. their Aesthetic might fit but that's not enough... I can probably see Raf doing a Miu Miu menswear capsule collection... but not a PRADA rebrand (which they have being trying to make it happen and it's not gonna happen)
DEFINITELY NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING… THIS WAS DEFINITELY A SLEEPER COLLECTION FOR SURE VERY VERY UNDERWHELMING FEELS LIKE THEY SPENT MORE TIME ON THE SET THAN ON THE COLLECTION AND IM A BIG STAND OF RAF BUT THIS WASNT A GOOD COLLECTION IT HAS ME SAYING TO MYSELF “WHERE IS THE REST OF IT”?!? THE SET AND THE MUSIC WERE THE BEST PARTS OF THIS COLLECTION THO
i must disagree. (hope all is well and warm where you are!) this is fashion for that weird, stand-off at your office who NEVER speaks to anyone during the day. he comes in early and disappears without a trace during the afternoon. he’s a mystery! an enigma! is he straight? is he gay? just what is his deal? all you know is that he’s always put together. never a hair out of place. (never in the break room). the the colors are left of center. the fit is impeccable. you know his body is on point because the cut is close. if you could possibly get close to him to get a feel of the sweater you’d know it was the finest cashmere. the jeans that look like denim are actually leather. (because you can’t wear jeans to work!!!!) he’s a freaking weirdo!!!. while you’re going home after work he’s going somewhere fabulous with the rest of his fabulous crew!! -this was a very strong showing for PRADA. maybe you’ll understand a couple seasons later. or maybe you won’t…
@@robertladdieanderson6085I don’t know if a narrative like that needs to be created for these clothes. I don’t think there’s anything anyone needs to “get” about it. It’s a Prada collection that could be sandwiched in between any of the men’s showings over the past 20+ years. I liked a lot that was shown; the leather linked belts, the twin sets, the nylon officers coat. However, as a whole…the collection was just another Prada show. Not exceptionally good nor exceptionally bad; it’s just fine.
@@Random_Identity but fashion is about narratives. Politics. Norms. Scenarios. Stories. That’s how lines are built. They create story boards JUST LIKE TV SHOWS AND FILMS when creating a season of clothing!!! If you like fashion…. YOU KNOW THIS!!! Fashion is about what’s going on in the world. By the time this collection is available to the public we will have decided the future of the world with the US election. Businesses will have decided what to do with all the vacant office space. Most likely they will force most MEN to return to work IN OFFICES!!! Men will need a reason to return. (And the superficial reason, for peacocks will be to show off theirs bodies AND new clothing) No logos allowed in the office. No obvious WEIRDNESS in the office. Strangeness YES! Weirdness NO! This was great PRADA in its finest hour. UGLY CHIC!!! And THATS miucia!!! The fabrics looked superior. The cut was close without being severe. It was a menswear win!! You’ll understand. Maybe you’ll get it LATE. But hopefully you’ll get it.
