Два года назат промазал таким раствором углы с уличной строны, где постоянно льёт дождь. Теперь с внутренней стороны балкона отсутствуют сырые места. Раствор просто потрясающий. Не шелушиться и не оьваливается, т.к. пропитка проникающая. Срок хранения в бутылке неограничен. С приветом из Туркменистана.

Solve silicone in univeral thinner as much as it takes, add 10% of this to an outdoor paint. So it will be a good weather protection for many materials. Btw, i am from germany.

It is an old trick which, among other things, is very useful in waterproofing tile joints. The solvent for the silicone should be alcohol based. It can be plain alcohol or something similar like isopropyl alcohol.

В эту жидкость добавил краски и плохо размешал. Покрасил древко топора ради эксперимента. Сам не ожидал такого эффекта. Несколько лет ручка как новая, легко моется, не набухает после дождя и не рассыхается на солнце, не скользит при работе, красивая, хорошо различима в траве, на стройке. Но самое главное - приятно держать в руке, благодаря тому, что размешал не до однородности. Мягкая, бархатистая поверхность. Я её называю «резиновая краска».

Many people gave good ideas like White Spirits ftom Australia, Isopropyl Alcohol etc., But you may have not thought about it.. But giving correct defined name of solvent is needed to get Best Results that you displayed. However Thanks again for video. 😊

OMG! This is just fantastic. A few tears ago I got laminated flooring in my whole house and the flooring in the kitchen is in a terrible mess. The flooring is all lifting and swelling at the edges because of water ingress. Laminated flooring is not waterproof at all and the guys that laid it didn't tell me this, all they wanted was to be paid for laying the flooring. Turns out the laminated flooring is just made of MDF and that is not a waterproof material at all. MDF is an engineered wood composite made from leftover hardwood or softwood fibres, resin, and wax. It is created by breaking down wood fibers into a pulp, mixing them with a bonding agent, and then pressing the mixture into thick sheets under high temperature and pressure. It is often used as a cost-effective alternative to solid wood for furniture, cabinets, and other wood products. It's OK for furniture but I'd not recommend it for any type of flooring that will get wet. I could have painted the edges of the flooring before it was laid if I'd known about this, making the edges completely waterproof.

It is good for waterproofing. The downside is the low solid content especially after it got crosslinked in contact with moisture either from air or in the solvent. At high solid content, it will form gel

Useful for sealing slight leaks in tents.

I used to do this for my tent and old motocycle clothes, really excellent results (solvant terpentine). Unfortunatelly, it catch dusts and make kind of stains... But really waterproof under big rain.
