Mix Your 808s and Kicks the EASY WAY 

Thanksss man. I've only been making beats for like a year or two now, but I have a question and a couple things to say. The distortion you put on the 808 was after the EQ and a lot of distortion comes from mid to high frequencies, so is there much of a point to that? Also, I asked Nick Mira and Rio Leyva (producers from Internet Money) if they do the sidechain kick 808 thing, and both of them said no. Rio Leyva often says it's better to use already good sounds then it is to use bad sounds and try to make them good with a bunch of plugins. I do understand that they just make beats and aren't audio engineers, but do we need to try to perfectly mix out beats or do we as small producers leave all of that to whoever makes a song with our beat or their audio engineer.
