Over 4 years and they still havent fixed the update problems. Im getting the arctis tomorrow and returing this crap. Never buy another product from them.

Mine failed too and the update option is missing, bootloader mode? Have you figured this out yet?

Mine is stuck on the downloading screen. After 4 hours, was still at 0% downloaded.

@@davidflw6 so I kept changing USB ports and it finally did work. I don't know if that would help you but it was the third USB port I tried that finally allowed the download to work.

same I'm on pc and it says "please connect an astro gaming device or switch the connected device to pc mode" the thing is i am but i wanna see the settings to make my mic loud

Did you manage to find out how to get the option for firmware update. I have the same problem can't figure out how to get it.

My man I figured it out. For me I had to download the Microsoft store version of the command vent to get it to work! Hope this helps you guys also.

Same issue here man. It's completely fucking dumb. Here I am, not able to chat with my buddies after spending 140 dollars on a stupid mixamp that doesnt even work unless I update it on a PC. Which I dont currently have access to.. smh.

Ahh, if you have trouble with the computer, i had to manually update my headset. It’s a pain, but that’s the only way I finally got it to work.

Make sure the mic is plugged all the way into the headset. It happened to me sometimes

@@oqrh. yes, go to astro gaming website, software, then go right down to the bottom of the page where it asks you to download command center from Microsoft store, download it that way then it should give you the update option. Hope this helps.

I was having the same issue once, I tried this it worked properly. you would think the service from the manufacturer would be the preferred but apparently not in this case

@@Frequentnick22do you know how to fix the mic on the ps5? I just got mine today and the mic doesn’t work when it’s connected to the amp? But it works when connected straight to the controller

@EvilMegaMan911 Sorry I can't help you, I'm on xbox. All I can offer is to make sure your mixamp pro tr is updated to the most recent firmware, whether that's through astro or Microsoft. That's just what worked for me, I can't make any promises though.

@@kingjames721 I had to use the usb cable that specifically came with the mixamp just to get the command center to update my mixamp

got same problem firmware update dont work edit Plug it to usb 3.2 port mine did not work with 3.0 it had to be usb 3.2 firmware update works fine thanks Y2D

@@Theyellwspacers Nope. I submitted a ticket to Astro and they were no help either asking me to do shit I already done and even put in the ticket I had done. I ended up sending them back and getting a full refund. The biggest issue is that Astro doesnt update the mixamps. They are sending them out with 2019 release firmware on them. The second and biggest issue is, there seems to be an issue/incompatibility issue between Windows 10 and the mixamp/firmware/AstroCommandCenter. I hated to have to send mine back I just wanted them to work I love Astro's but after all that and watching and researching countless videos. I would suggest getting something else. I was able to get my Arctis 9x working again and they are amazing. Review wise if you want wireless Steel Series Arctis 9X, Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 2 Max, Razer Kaira Pro. If you want wired just make sure the wired headset has volume control on it otherwise itll always sound to low. Like for example. Just the Astro A40 plugged into the controller sounds to low and even if you max game volume etc its not enough. The A40s don't have a volume dial on the cord so I would recommend something else that does. Hope this helps and you don't have to spend countless hours fighting and being frustrated like me lol.

Bruh.. I’ve had both and the a50’s are wireless and not open back like the Astro a40’s so there’s now way in hell they’re louder.. but besides that it’s loud enough my guy at mid range..

Agreed just spent 200 bucks on a headset that a can use

Just mess with the micro usb on the back meaning unplug it and slowly plug it back in until the pro amp turns on then it will say headset assigned and there you go say you do that it works and then it does not work repeat steps if that does not work then just return it😭

any luck with this? I'm having issue with obtaining output and input with this headset. Only one works at a time.

If it ONLY says Downloading Firmware Step 0 of 1 then youre out of luck. If it actually says an error, turns out there are 2 generations of Mixamp Pro the Gen3 and Gen4 each have their own firmware version.

If you’re on Xbox you need to plug a aux cord into the mixamp and plug the other end into the controller

@@Wooooot yes i emailed support! And they sent me the file and updated them manually! Also be sure to download astro command centre from their astro website! And not from windows store and u can update them manually!
