WOW 😮 WOW 😮 😮 Nina this is very very stunning and gorgeous, I really really love 💕 both pieces. I’ve seen the other videos of the altered playing cards ♠️ and puzzle pieces 🧩 I really really enjoyed watching you create these things. Stay safe and well too xxx Mags
What a lovely idea for altering puzzle pieces and cards. You've definitely given me some inspiration and ideas. Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations
Wow, Nina I just love this prompt for this week! I adore your flamingo and the projects you demonstrated today, I can’t wait to get started! Must check out Kylie’s video now, have a wonderful week!💕🇨🇦
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia I bought a large jigsaw last year and still haven't got around to using it... I might just do it this year!! Ha ha. I love the mixed media projects you are coming up with this year great fun and very inspiring!! 😁😁
Just found your channel. I watched a different video last night. Textured tags. And this one this morning. Your work is fantastic!!! And so unique. I LOVE IT!! I've subscribed and hit bell. So I can follow your channel. Thank you for your videos. Austin, TX USA
Good morning nina, this was a very royal sunday...the little crowns so delicate, the puzzle piece so lovely and the card , it reminded me of a period I used to wear my hear like this..long time ago( ha ha), Do I relate to hanging on to beautuful papers, oh yes I do, but I tell myself use them, because one day you will hardly know you have them and that's such a shame.. Thank you for the lovely half hour we " spend" this sunday, have a good week, we are heading for a little heatwave this week. Love lenaxxx
Good morning Lena, glad you liked the crowns. I’d love to see a photo of you as I’ve built up a wonderful picture of you in my head 💕. I’m really trying to snap myself out of this silly hoarding habit as I have some wonderful things that are just sitting on the shelf and Its completely ridiculous! I hope you have a wonderful week. Hugs 💕 xxx
Hi Nina, What a great idea to use giant puzzle pieces. I’m off to the grandchildren’s play room to find a jigsaw although I might leave it up to you to explain why Peter Rabbit is suddenly missing his feet - he he he 😊
Nice project this week I liked the puzzle piece and how you used the scrapbook paper. I have loads of papers that need using up so that's sorted out a project for me. Thanks😊
As ever, Nina, a lovely demo of your great ideas and makes. I made your craft card buttons yesterday and they are wonderful and I've also been greatly influenced by your collages and am now hooked. They take more thought than you think and you've made me see how they are done. Thank you for your inspiration. I love to watch you. Your work is right up my street.
As a first time viewer, now subscriber, I love your style Nina! I’ve been collecting ‘goodies’ for a long time for projects like this... now to make the time to express my ideas. 👑You are a great artists and teacher, thank you for sharing your talent.👩🏻🎨
This is a terrific idea! I love the way your pieced turned out! You always teach me so much! I watched a video this week that Francesca of Junk Journals did. She made vellum with the candle wax and used that to alter a playing card. I thought of you when I saw what she was doing.TFS. I did. God bless and stay safe.
I have never been a fan of stickles and dimensional drops but these are really cute. I usually put my hand or scissors or whatever in my project before it is finished. But they sure have added the great final layer to yours. Great prompt. -Marsha from Texas
I love your videos on altering the puzzle pieces. I did try to alter a jigsaw puzzle piece and then realized I should of made sure the piece had at least one straight edge, easier to balance the dangle. My piece did not turn out as beautiful as yours though. I will continue to try again. ❤️
Thanks Dawn. What a shame your first piece didn’t balance. If you add the seed beads at the top, it makes balancing easier as the beads act like notches 💕
These are adorable Nina, I can't wait till I get off work today so I can play. I have 50's or 60's pinup girls playing cards that I think I will start with. Thanks for the inspiration. Have a wonderful week. I am already looking forward to your next video.
I remember the Flamingo well Nina ... love the bird one this time ... your altered playing card is gorgeous .. it always amazes me what a little white on a project cam do ... thank you for the inspiration this week . Stay well. Kay xx
Ooooh... lovely! I especially love how little details have such a big impact. The micro beads, black gesso, beaded wire hanger, etc. all add up to really stunning pieces. I really enjoy your videos and look forward to Sundays knowing another one will be posted. Thank you so much for sharing your gifts with us. Be well. ~phinny Seattle USA
Absolutely beautiful work as always Nina! I just love watching the process of how you alter and change the look of simple pieces you find with creative ideas! You know I love vintage💓☕ from across the pond in Hoboken New Jersey it is very early here😁
Beautiful results. I think you have quite a collection of altered "puzzle" pieces by now! I know I've seen a few videos about it from you over the last few years.
These are lovely Nina. I bought some large puzzle pieces with this sort of thing in mind after your last one (flamingo). I think I should definitely get them out and start creating with them. Thanks for sharing 💗
In the US I just bought large puzzle pieces. 3.99 for 20 pieces. It’s a match game but in puzzle form. .20 each piece. Just bought 2 days ago. Checkout area. Looks to be this exact size. 😀
Before lockdown, I was still seeing Mambi Sheets at Michael's. They're usually the huge sheets though, not the paper pads. They're sold in the same aisle as the paper pads, but you unfold what looks like a 12x12 pad into a giant wrapping-paper sized sheet.
Hello Nina, I love this prompt. The pieces you've done this week are beautiful, I remember you doing the 1st jigsaw piece last year.....I couldn't find an old jigsaw in the charity shops for ages, I think us arty peeps must have cleared them out, got some now, so I'll be lying along this week. Do I have paper stashed just for stroking, of course but like you I'm being brave and using it now, otherwise why buy it to sit in a box? At least if I use it I can look at it and then buy more!! Stay safe, Jackie x
I completely agree. I’m desperately trying to change my stupid hoarding habits. It actually feels great to go back and revisit some of the wonderful older supplies in my stash. Have a wonderful week and I hope you enjoy creating your puzzle pieces 💕
Thanks Susan. The one I used in the video was Diamond Glaze. The only two I would recommend are this one and Glossy Accents. Not been impressed with any others 💕
I absolutely love both of those 💜❤ super cute ideas, I'm going to have to check out your other puzzle ideas soon. I'm getting behind on videos with good weather finally here in Maine, US. LAURA M 🦋
Thanks Laura. The weather here has been beautiful too. What a blessing for us during the pandemic. Its unusual for us to have had so many sunny and hot days, and we don’t want them to end. Have a wonderful week 💕
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia I have sent a few online friends your way as your ideas and videos were something I thought they would love as much as I do! And my first tag if the month arrived yesterday!!!
Thanks so much for subscribing Talie. These could certainly be used as embellishments, or even a focal image in a journal cover. They are also lovely to send in happy mail or display as a cluster on your art space wall. So much fun to make too 💕
These can be displayed in your craft room. I have my jigsaw pieces hanging on my wall clustered together with other small projects. They also make great swap and happy mail items. They could also be used as the focal image in a collage, or you could even use them to decorate the cover of a journal. Hope that’s given you a few ideas 💕🧩♣️
@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia Thank you so much!!! Yes, I love all of those ideas. I for some reason, need to know what I'm going to do with a project after I'm finished. Now I can try to make them with a particular idea in mind. They are so pretty by the way. Stay safe and thanks again ☺️💌
