This is lovely. It would be interesting to see how it would be without the paste on the lower left to give more white space. I can feel your struggle with allowing that. Well done for going out of your comfort zone

Thank you! 😊I think it would be empty if I didn't do it. There's a difference between balanced empty space and just empty space. To leave left empty, then I need to leave other spaces empty too. Needs to be a completely different composition. I hope I made sense ☺️ tfw ❤️

Fantastic page Umutaua! I love the border and when you finished it it thought wow it looks like a book within a book just as you said exactly the same thing. That border really makes the page pop and the polka dots do a lot to unify it. Thank you for sharing your creativity.

Umut i just love this page!! It turned out awesome...i love ranger and esp dylusions looks. Those old dylusion stencils i wish they still sold. I love that you would get the regular stenciling part but then a border stencil too. Ive searched everywhere. Lol. Ive been watching someone use those stains too lately. They are pretty cool. I went right for oxides. Your friend Elaine draws awesome designs!! I had to laugh when u said "leave some white space" because i never do and want to start. I just always cover inch to inch w color! Lol!! I think the neutral page came out terrific! Thanks for posting and stay safe and well : )

😂 I do cover the page with color too! That's why it was a challenge. I can't say there's a lot of white space still, but at least I tried 😁If you google harlequin stencil, I think you'll find a lot of them. I only got the browns and neautrals of the spray stains to mix them with oxides too :) And Elena is number 1 for me. Love her designs. Take care Karen! ❤️

Love the black/white look. Didn't know there was black embossing paste, thought only white. Black could be interesting as a background with using bright colors of embossing powders on top. Could you do that sometime as a project?

Amber Asif yes, you can seal with a pod podge, matt medium. Using a dry brush and being gentle, not to move it around. Color fading very much depends on heat, moisture and sun you have where you live and where you keep your artwork. If a product isn’t stated as ‘lightfast’ it’s not promised to keep colors for years and years.
