I am in awe of your Studio! You have the cleanest and best organized Studio that I have ever seen. I'm so impressed with your handmade box system in your drawer units. The hidden storage under the boxes is genius. You obviously really thought out what you were doing. If you ever get the time, I would love to see a video of you making your drawer boxes. Thank you for making this video - it is really an inspiration; I can feel the wheels turning in my brain now.
I watched like a 100 other art studio videos for inspiration on how to set up my new space and yours is by far my favorite! Your organisation is brilliant AND functional 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 thanx for sharing
your tour is so relaxing, I watched it twice! I would truly appreciate it if you would PLEASE do a tutorial on how you made those wonderful boxes. I need that type of storage solution for my beads, paints, brushes, etc. FOR EVERYTHING! thank you🙏🏾🙏🏾
This is amazing! I thought I had a very tidy and well thought out studio until just now, but after watching your video, I have to admit: My organizing system doesn't come close. I am very impressed. And it's BEAUTIFUL!
Hello Johwey, I discovered your channel today through this video. Wow, your art studio is the most perfectly organized studio. I enjoyed every minute of this tour. I'm so proud of you for making your own custom drawer organizers. They are PERFECT. I noticed you have a video on how to make these organizers. That's the video I'm gonna watch next. :-)
wow, just wow! Such an incredible space. From the organization, to the decor, and even the stunning windows and natural light! You've got something really special here!
LOVE you paper storage boxes. I've struggled with how to save mine, ending up with envelopes for the smaller pieces, but this is a much better solution. Love the Alex drawers, too, but I already have a huge, wide, sturdy shelf unit. Based on the Alex drawer concept, I'll now find drawer style units to put on it, since stacking sketchbooks, etc, isn't working too well. The open areas on the shelves will remain available for jars of pens, brushes, etc.
This space is such a dream! Seeing how you've organized everything soothes my soul. I think my two favorite things are the layers you've made in the drawers and your use of the risers on your shelf so you can see everything. The lighting and the plants add so much, I'm so into this!
Thanks! And yes, I am in love with the light that filters through those windows-- although at a certain time of the day, the light that hits my work table is too blinding! 😅
Wow! I thought I had a lot of supplies and good organization. You have me beat on both counts! Beautiful space and some of the best studio organizing ideas I’ve found. I’m delighted that someone asked you to demo those storage boxes you make...heading there next to watch your video. What an awesome idea to get exactly the sizes you need!!
WOW WOW WOW WHAT A BEAUTIFUL STUDIO WITH ALL THAT NATURAL LIGHT. IT IS EXTREMELY WELL ORGANIZED AND AIRY AND THE PLANTS ADD SUCH A REFRESHING ATMOSPHERE….BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL 💖💖💖💖👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻. Thank you for sharing….it has such a feeling of calm 👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🤍🤍
Wow so clean and organised. You have so much too but it doesn't seem to feel overwhelming or oppressive with the way you have it all set up. Nicely done.
This is my favorite studio tour I've seen. Very helpful to see the organization and enjoyed just being a voyeur into your artist world for few minutes.
Such a beautiful studio!! I especially loved your pastel, fountain pen, and ink storage. I might have to incorporate that in my studio this year. I also loved that you didn't use plastic bins for storage in your drawers, your homemade boxes are perfection. Thanks so much for sharing your studio with us. This is my first time to your channel, and I loved every minute of it. 🤗
Oh wow! I never saw a better organized studio! That is impressive! i love your idea of making your own boxes to perfectly fit the drawers! I will definitively try that here in my studio in Canada :) thanks for sharing, you have a beautiful studio!
The most organized studio space I've had the pleasure to see!! As someone who needs to Create in that type of orderliness, I absolutely love it all💛 And the amount of light You have is spectacular!! Thanks, Johwey! My 1st time on Your channel & I look forward to more😍
Yes, the natural light I get is spectacular, although there is always that time during the day when the light is blindingly too much and I am forced to take a break or move to a different area in the room! 😂
Oh my goodness, I have never seen such a beautifully organized studio! This is truly inspiring. And like everyone else, I want the tutorial on how you make your boxes. This video was done a while ago so I'm going to see if you have the box-making video! Thanks for sharing this lovely space.
@Johwey Redington I did see it. Thank you. Such exquisite perfection. I was visiting a friend in the US who asked me if I needed any chip board (I live in Canada) as she was getting rid of some things and I was like "Yes!" I have never seen it in Canada before.
I'm just in the finishing stages of converting my office to a creative temple. Wow, is your space magnificent. There is so much inspiration everywhere. And your organizational wizardry is OUTRAGEOUS. Thank you so much for sharing this magical space.
So I keep obsessing about the Alex drawers, even though I have no room in my studio. Then I looked them up - read the measurements and realized that they would fit under the table that holds my printer and and also palette and medium when I do oil painting. In fact, two of them would fit in that space. Fingers crossed that the assembly directions are accurate. Thanks for sharing your studio, Johwey
Lovely!!! So [annpyingly] well organized. LOL!!!!! Seriously, thanx for posting this video and the close look inside your studio! It's great to see the studio of a multidisciplinary artist. I'm one too... Most folks (non-artists) don't get why we need more studio space and organization than single discipline artists. Just a suggestion - you may want to to move/hang your fire extinguisher away from your gas torch. For safety and better access in an emergency. Just saying... Thanx again!
Hi, Johwey! I love your studio, your plants and your voice. Thanks for sharing. It's one of my favorite studio tours because instead of rushing through everything, you shared yourself and how things worked for you personally. The plants and the way you use space bring such balance and harmony. I also have plants in my studio. Are the steamers for the plants? Humidifiers? Air purifiers? When I say your video gear my jaw dropped. I've been looking for that floor-stand and bridge for years! I can't put any video gear on my craft table, as when I pound collage, etc. it looks like an earthquake! JAJAJA! If you know the name or remember where you got it, I would be so grateful! Thanks again for this relaxing, beautiful share of your studio space.
Thanks so much for your kind words. Here are the Amazon links to the overhead platform and tripods: amzn.to/40PfUQt and amzn.to/3K8sCDw. I like this setup a lot but the whole system is a bit pricey. 😅
Wow😍🥰 you literally have my dream studio! Absolutely perfect. So much effort, thought, organization & creativity went into that room. Plus the windows & natural lighting & plants, it's like an art greenhouse 🌿💚 this is my bucket list. I commend you for your talents, hard work & for taking the time to show us this..and all with such a relaxing voice. This is total stress relief eyecandy to me lol
Johwey você dá aulas de encáustica nesse ateliê? Pode nos mostrar as telas de encáustica que já fez? Ou esse ateliê serve somente para o seu trabalho particular e sua alegria?
Hi, this is absolutely beautiful. Just wondering if you can give me advice on what type of desk I should get for me to draw and to work on my watercolours. I do have a good easel for painting but I always sketch on canvas before applying oils. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Thank you! I love the big windows as well and the view they provide. Here are the Amazon links to the overhead platform and tripods: amzn.to/40PfUQt and amzn.to/3K8sCDw. 🙂
I just found you channel right now and this is exactly the tier of "anything and everything" art/art supplies I'm aiming to get to in my career though your between project clean up is 1000% better than mine. I don't think you mentioned it, but I'm curious about the rough size dimensions of the space you consider 'studio space' (as opposed to being like hallway or a different room). I have family I live with so I'm usually stuck with a bedroom/studio combo or previously a small bedroom sized (like 10x10 foot max) extra room that also doubled as a library so I've never figured out what's a good 'studio only' amount of space for such a wide range of material usage
