Keeping like items together ie: Art paper, acrylic paint, watercolor paints etc. like you sorted yours, does help a lot. With me if I don't see it, I forget I have it. I even sorted "areas" like "all things acrylic" here, all things "watercolor"......that has help me in the house too. All soups together etc. in pantry. All house paints, rollers, brushes, all glues together, all caulking, all rubber bands, all jewelry supplies.........it works:)
...and another tip...I use a knife magnetic bar to hold my palette knives. I attached it to a wood cart but it can be put anywhere handy, works great:)
Any space I have, art studio or not, I have to declutter every now and then, as the clutter always builds up again 😊 but it is satisfying once its tidied up again. All the best, John
LOLOL - your 'before' would be very tidy for me. The hardest thing i had to come to terms with was that i was never going to sell or donate things. As wasteful as it felt, i threw them away
Yes, completely! Minimalist I never will be, I appreciate them, everyone has a special meaning. If you keep getting rid of these things, you might just find you may be "missing" yourself.
