I wouldn't say necessarily harder, but then again I would lol. Just different techniques to get everything working together in unison and create that symphony and intricate dance between everything so to speak......
Harder, imo. One, it’s overwhelming to listen to for long periods of time, which makes mixing taxing in and of itself. And then the guitars are so huge that getting the rest of the sounds to work around them is a pain. Imagine sticking white noise over your whole track and then trying to 1, make the white noise super present and powerful and 2, make everything else sound super clear. That’s basically what you’re doing.
