He always mixing a dope ass track. It seem like RU-vidrs his age are mixing classical or jazzy stuff. He’s always mixing relevant tracks that you would hear on the radio. Very important 👌🏽
for anyone havinb trouble with LOair, ive always found that having it on an fx send and cranking up the loair knobb to max, and the freq knob to whatever you need (usually 32hz for me to enhance 808s) its much easier than having it as a direct insertt, just altering the send level as you need. Loair can be very destructive and eat up all your headroom very quickly so use sparingly.
MaxxBass is one of my absolute go to's for low end info...mixing on 5" monitors, and translates to laptop spkrs, earbuds, etc... it's fantastic. Thanks for the tutorial Dave!
Gold. Funny to gauge your progress by how much you undarstand daves ITL:s lol. A few years ago i had a hard time, now i really get everything and feel i can apply it. Dave is probably getting better at explaining as well:)

I'm purchasing MaxxBass today after getting paid. It's unbelievable what the plugin does to trick the ears into "hearing low end" on a small speaker setup. I have a mix that slams but the bass is lost on my phone speaker/laptop speaker. Can't wait to hear this finished product. Thanks Dave!
Can you do a mini-tour of that room? An ITL of ITL? lol Would be cool to see the the detailed purpose and functions of the room and gear selection. I believe this was done before, but has anything changed since then?
Hi Passing to like 20-40k does add some overall clarity. Especially on smaller references. Never get tired of some good ole Lo Air to add in some new low end info
Maybe 15 hz, 40hz will fuck most stuff up pretty hard. Even if you can't hear that low on most speakers, the phase shift from high passing can destroy the "weight" of a mix.
Hey I’m wondering if this is really necessary nowadays. I’m listening on an iPhone 6 and I can hear the kick and bass without any on the help. The help was still somewhat beneficial on the bass but the extra eq probably not. Also laptop speakers are much better too. I suppose what I’m saying is crappy small speakers aren’t as crappy as they were. You still don’t get subs but you can’t do anything about that
Nice tutorial if you translate those Waves' plugins operations into a general mindset on how to treat the low end. However it could trigger plugin hungry guys to spend hunderds of bucks. It would be more valuable if he used simple plugins like eq, saturation etc.. This seems more like a Waves ad lol.
Get R Bass from Waves ...does the same thing cheaper with less trouble...adds bass harmonics above the fundamental frequency that trick a listeners ears into hearing the bass frequencies that can't be reproduced by a small speaker
This is compressor for low end? Looks very simple. On last track i used pink noise learn Eq from Ozone, and then i added some Ozone harmonics to pull the low end back. But thanks, I will look at it.
And your reason for insulting me was ? I just told you that i could hear the bass and the difference with very small speakers, and you did not. So that could mean two things. Either my iphones built-in speakers are superior, or you have a bas bluetooth speaker. Please dont get mad on the internet dude.
even renaissance eq operates in 64 bit floating point, even if maxxbass operated in 32 bit floating point you would have 1680 dB of dynamic range which is more than enough additional remark, most DAWs operate in 32 bit floating point internally and got the same dynamic range, thats why its virtually impossible to clip internally before the rendering process
