god i love you joel u were like a treasure when i ever started with mixing u made videos that i still comeback for , thank u so much and keep being great < 3
Amazing tutorial as always, thank you! Do you have any advice on mixing hits or drums into a full orchestration? I find that I can make hits and/or drums sound pretty good in isolation, but they're always way too loud and by the time I try to add in my orchestration (or vice versa), it becomes a mess. Thanks again!

Ahh honestly it's a combination of choosing the right samples and EQing properly, then there's dynamics, many factors and it's hard to pinpoint the issue. No magical trick here it's just about solving the issue that's causing the mess in your mix. Could be an EQ mud issue or the samples could be too wet and turn into an atonal rumble.. Or something else entirely.
Hey Joel, I wanted to ask something more technical: would you recommend to monorize the bass strings til around 100Hz or is it better to leave that out?

Hey personally I wouldn't ! A bit of width is good as long as it's not over the top and translates in mono. Especially for orch i would never hard mono bass
