I always mix the Camille rose curl maker and mielle pomegranate custard, I get great results, no flakes and moisture for days

I actually use Uncle Funky's Daughter gel as a leave-in conditioner because of the natural ingredients, moisture, & light weightness; then I apply eco styler krystal gel for styling; and the results are awesome.

I tried this gel combo with kinky Curly Knot Today as my leave in, Camille Rose aloe whipped Butter gel for moisture. It is bomb. I'm 4a mostly with a lil 4b btw

I have the stronger hold gel & it’s my top gel because of the consistency. I feel like that watery consistency allows it to mix with SO MANY products. I will be trying this W&G today 👏🏾 I don’t have a mousse, but will use a lightweight leave in + those 2 gels ❤️

It looks so good! Yes I've been mixing gels for my wash n gos for the past month and I'm hooked. I've mixed the Mielle Pomegranate custard and Ginger Rx gel and my hair is always bomb! Volume and definition for days

sis, thanks so much for posting... I have yet to master a wash n go and I thought it was the products but I'm realizing I'm not using as much water as I thought I was and my sections are not as small as I thought either... my hair texture is very dense, full and my curl pattern is loose, wavy and tight in some areas eg type 4a/4b/ in the front, sides, bottom back and in the crown it's more 4c and let's not forget I'm high porosity...

I recently started mixing gels, but from a cost saving measure. I use curl maker on my root then eco on my ends. I find eco does better with defining my frizzy ends and curl maker helps define my roots where eco keeps my roots frizzy.

Great video Alyssa!!! I am definitely going to try that combo. I have been mixing gels as well. I used Briogeo curl charisma frizz free gel and Uncle Funky's curl magic which is very similar to curl maker. Works pretty good!! I really want to try the mousse with it all though!!

So I believe I got this "mixing gels" idea from one of your other videos, and JUST tried it on my hair Wed... I used The Mane Choice orchid gel and Wetline. Girl that combo is so bomb! Would've nvr thought to try this idea, but so happy I did. This ATL humidity was killing my curls! But now I was able to get 5 days out of that wash 🤗

Just the Quidad alone is okay doesn’t give my hair much shine. But it’s good with humidity using the advanced strong hold. So I put Uncle Funky’s over it that made my hair look more shiny

Mixing gels is really great I stoped doing this for a while and just started to do this again. I love to use my eco styler as a toper. Also if you like to use mouse in your hair a thing that I like to use: insted of a mouse try out the hydration serum from edenbodywork. It feel it has the same effect maybe you would like it

I loved when you suggested the Briogeo curl charisma gel and Camille rose curl maker. Or the kerracare leave in, mousse, and ouidad heat humidity. Literally my favorite 2 wash and gos!! Will try this too. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Thanks sis!! Even though I’m low porosity & some of the products used my not work for my hair the same , I’m here so I can apply the technique using the products that work for me. BTW I’m 2 months big chopped, working with a TWA, & very new to styling my hair so this info is right on time especially since I’m not moving around as much I can experiment & master my technique because ya girl gotta be ready when it’s time to be back in the office opposed to working from home and when it’s time to really show my new short natural hair for all to see.

I love mane choice manuka honey extreme gel and Uncle funky's daughter with blueberry bliss leave in underneath and I get AWESOME results. I will try your mix too I'm a strong believer of mixing gels!!! Thanks😊

You should try Uncle Funcky’s Daughter Curly Magic curl custard. I have the same hair texture pattern as you. It leaves the hair less crunchy than kinky curly but with more hold than Camille rose. You’ll get the same look but with less product!

Try the Ouidad strong hold gel. It has a good hold, and it has good definition.

Oh my gosh! I have been struggling with my hair so much lately! It looks so good when I’m inside then immediately when I go outside, my hair has so much frizz! I have that Ouidad gel but it’s really old! Not sure if it’s still good! I don’t have the Camille Rose or the Shea Moisture Mousse either

Have you tried stretching it with the dryer when your hair is fully dried? I still struggle with shrinkage but it helps. Check out natural reign or Kim cherell, they have really good stretching techniques

Do you think the fact that you dont use a leave in conditioner plays a role in the gels not flaking?

I think it's the styling on super wet curls that prevents flaking. I don't flake with leave ins!

Well now I have to try this. I have the uncle funkys. But I need more hold. So I’ll get the Camille rose. See if that works because xtreme gel is starting to dry out my hair 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️
