Before buying a second subwoofer, a 3rd or 4th, or just a new pair, this video should make your decision easier, and easy to understand why.
I try not to just say "just do this" without explaining why. This "boat oar" explanation just makes sense to me, and hopefully to you too.
As the first SVS affiliate, and I've had more experience with their subwoofers than any other brand. They communicated with me with total respect and dignity, even when I had a LOT to learn 9 years ago.

They don't make an entry level subwoofer anymore. The older 10" version "might" have been, but the Pro version addressed the very short list of flaws. The 10" version was almost what I considered bottomless. This one IS audibly bottomless, and it satisfies everything I look for. Turns out, I'm SUPER picky...

For a little more, these are in the realm of "premium bass", more explosive, with an ever slightly deeper tone. Definitely worthy of the long time best selling 2000 line. Easy blind recommendation.

My goldilocks subwoofer. Knocking on the door of the PB-4000 and the PB-16 Ultra for explosiveness, smaller, lighter, more affordable, and it has the coveted metal grill for the cat owners out there. Only 1" bigger in every dimension than the PB-2000, but the split wind voice coil is a whole box of steroids. Kicks like an angry mule.

I've yet to hear more impressive bass. All of these subs have incredible explosiveness, but the PB-16 Ultra hits so deep in the chest, at the same relative volume, that it's simultaneously a giggle machine, and legitimately frightening to the uninitiated. The PB-3000 hits so close to the PB-4000, that if you're going to make the jump, might as well go straight to the PB-16 Ultra. Kicks like a furious Clydesdale, and as with every ported SVS subwoofer, true to music in both slam, as well as the utmost delicacy. Hacksaw Ridge, or Diana Krall, no content is compromised.
*I WOULDN'T MIX *ANY OF THEM (GIVEN THE CHOICE), AND I'D SPLIT MY BUDGET RATHER THAN GETTING A SINGLE.**

Given the choice of using only a single PB-16 Ultra, or only Dual PB-1000 Pro's to use for an entire year, I would ABSOLUTELY go with Dual PB-1000 Pro's over a single PB-16 Ultra for an entire year.
No question.
The PB-1000 Pro's are equivalent of original PB-2000's. In the video, I had dual original PB-2000's, and a single PB-16 Ultra.
Even with the PB-2000's stacked in the corner (not ideal), I still preferred them over the single PB-16 Ultra, and I shut off the PB-16 Ultra.
Once I had dual PB-16 Ultras, I went from confused to truly blown away.
Is mixing subwoofers the end of the world? Nope.
Should you skip on groceries to get it straight? Nope.
Should you go with matching, dual, deep bass subwoofers if at all possible, to get the best possible bass you can? Absolutely.
Even if it means getting 2 lower wattage subs, instead of 1 higher wattage and 1 lower wattage sub within the SVS line? Yes, because it will skew towards the less powerful subwoofer anyway, while not being "as perfect" as matched.
I wish I could confidently explain why bass skews to the weaker subwoofer, but I don't know why for sure, just theory.
I just know my experience, and my choices based on going with what sounds the best.
