his anchoring the mix on the drums first is exactly how we do dialog when mixing shows or ads for TV. Once the dialog is anchored at -14LUFS, then most every other element we mix under it holds the master close to -14lufs. Genius. Also that Rolex Skydweller is fire!
Funny thing is I have watched tons of his videos over the years because who in the mix word does not. But in his on space I always got the since of arrogance. This integration with normal people did a lot for my perception of him gained a ton of respect because someone at his level does not even have to do this. Every response was down to earth and genuine

yeah drum replacement is so common in mixing! something i do with live rock / indie mixes too. I'll layer additional samples ontop of their live drums.
just a quick question as jaycen said that its good to have 5 to 6 db of headroom for mastering my question is that which metering do he follows as a pro tools user we have so many metering can u guys please tell is it rms or peak metering according to me it should be both like we should check the peaks and the rms value to be sure we r on the same page i wanted to know this.....
How hard is he hitting the NLS's beofre he hitss the shadows hill at -1dB? Thanks. The only way I can hit he shadoess hill usssing hiss settings is if I hit the NLS's really hard...but soundss way to distorted.
Looking at master Jaycen's template, I wanted to be able to understand how the earning structure is made? When I reach -5 db on The God Particle my Master channel clips. Someone help me please, hugs from ANGOLA.
he used to have a drumbus (maybe still does) with 8 NLSbuss plugins on it with different settings. Look it up theres probably a lot of videos of him demostrating it. Anyways, now, he says use nls buss in diferent busses to emulate that analog feeling. Just experiment :)

@@amazeus1980 yeah I can almost guarantee he does which is dishonest and illegal from Jaycen, MWTM, and these plug-in companies. It’s disappointing too because Joshua is obviously one of the best ever and shares a ton of great info, yet the consumer has no way of telling what info is pure vs sponsored. This is why the FTC has laws about disclosure. It’s not fair to the consumer, ESPECIALLY those who are new to audio, and will go buy a plug-in bundle because they heard it recommended, but don’t know the very basics of EQ and compression.
Jaycen came up under Pensado, they both use these plugins in their legacy of mixes. If you have MWTM you'd see the majority of this information has been shared across multiple videos from both of them. It ain't sponsorship payola, it's just their methods
