Your tutorials are what the music production realm on RU-vid has been missing. Super clear, the techniques AND the reason for the techniques are explained perfectly, no fluff, no distractions, no name drops, no 30 minute videos to explain a 2 minute point, no 'hidden' plugin manufacturer sales pitch. Perfect.

Nice and easy :) Were automation volume edits done with on or off compression and other volume level plugins inserts?

Volume automation won't effect the gain dependent plugins, it's only effecting the output. Great question. I'll explain it further on tomorrow's Q&A on Patreon. Hope that helps! Thanks!

Wow huge difference but also subtle.. I'm guessing you'd do this after the tracks are balanced and processed? And maybe more towards the end of the mixing process once one knows whats on the master bus? I really love the subtlety of raising the guitar and Toms together like that, i recognize hearing that many times but haven't applied it.. Thank you 🙏🕊️

Yes, exactly! I'll break it down for you on tomorrow's Q&A. Great question Owl. Thanks! Any other questions?

If I could.. 😊 re panning you slightly centred then automated wide for an instrument intro (I'm not sure which instrument atm) and I'm wondering how much you brought it in to introduce it? Also was that on dual setting or balance/binaural? I was also wondering about the difference between dual/binaural if possible..? I tend to use dual for width as I don't understand binaural.. Also is there a situation where you'd use clip gain rather than vol automation? I tend to clip gain early on with an Peak RMS meter to help guide then towards the end of the mixing process after compression etc use automation to fine tune.. is there a better way or is that fairly usual? Thanks heaps 🙏🕊️

Yes! Thank you so much! I caught it yesterday morning and wanted to run through it on my comp before replying but am having some trouble with my comp updates (to win11 S1 6.6 and now NI won't work leaving big gaps in my songs) which is holding me back from getting to mixing.. I've also got span IVGI and TDR like you use and had a little play them, that IVGI is gorgeous with high hats!!!! , it feels like Christmas was postponed for now atm lol sorry for the holdup hopefully can sort this NI prob tomorrow I'll have a bit more time.. it's a midi mystery lol thanks so much for your reply and answering my questions on Patreon!!! Bless 🙏🕊️
