Hey Marty just wanna say you are amazing and your a great teacher I love how you break down everything you teach and explain it step by step you’ve really helped me progress on my fender strat from stone temple pilots to sound garden to Pink Floyd Nd etc… right now I’m working on your video about the “BB Box” I’m really into blues I’m trying learn how to play them lead scales but anyways I’m playing songs that I thought I’d never be able to learn Nd I gotta say thank you because I have a special place in my heart when it comes to music and playing instruments and like I said I’m playing songs I never thought I’d be playing so thanks keep rocking Marty! 🤘

Do you have a video that teaches how you move around on the neck easily?

Hi, Marty! Thanks for this lesson! Think I’m missing a basic part of the MX scale - I get the flatted 7th, but is it the 7th of the 5th degree scale, or the 7th of the base major scale? Cheers!

You only have to play the F Mayor or the D Minor Scale. C is the fifth (Mixolydian) of F. The Target Note should be the B flat. It's quiet easy....

Mixolydian always sounds Allmanesque to me. It's an age thing!

Really helpful for me. I don’t know why I find it odd (I’m relatively new to guitar from a lifetime of drums) and have CAGED down - why do people use numbers instead of the CAGED letters to denote the various‘shapes?’ Are the numbers different for major vs minor? Thank you for the helpful lesson!

Marty, can you explain how you start on shape 4 for Mixolydian on the e string when it was shape 1 for the major scale? Thought it was all the same just the root changes.

Simply cannot decipher the different shapes - based on this 2, 3, 4 are what I've always seen as 1, 4, 5 elsewhere.

Or just treat it as a major scale with a flat 7th based on whatever note you are using as a root.
