I love how he went from a literal killing machine, always looking for opponent to defeat to a normal farmer who willing to do whatever it take to help a starving village. That's one of the best character development I've ever seen.
I love how it's started off as pretty simple. In the beginning, it about some vagabond trying to be strongest swordsman under the heaven, then it gets more and more philosophical.
Ima be honest , I fell in love with vagabond and Vinland saga and the way that both characters just say fuck the murder and start farming to find them selfs, sometimes the simple way is the best way
@@buti5679 How so exactly? The farming in Vagabond is literally showed in this video and the farming for Vinland Saga is also literally the next arc aka next season
Well i read Vinland saga but right now i feel like all i need is finding happiness. So i decided to let vagabond guide me to my goal to find happiness.
Because a warriors temperament is truly tested in the fields when it comes to becoming one with the nature. It's a recurring theme and many times a common instance for great warriors to be invested into arts that require great patience such as gardening or painting. Once they acquire the patience from that is when their true potential lies in their vision. Kinda think that op comment was meant to be a bit comical but still, I love the farming arcs and the reasoning behind them
@@frog6054 mangas aren't the only form of literature out there bud. A lot of masters of swords and spears throughout the history have had these weird obsession with art in many cases. Especially in Asia, it was common for such personalities to be invested into mostly gardening or farming to some extent for peace of mind
For anybody who loves Vagabond and the history of Miyamoto Musashi, try reading his teachings, he had really good life philosophies that will carry you through more than just slicing dudes in half. Fun fact, the translated book for The Book of Five Rings by William Scott Wilson actually talks about lots of his duels that resulted in his win were won with wooden swords. His blows were so deadly that he didn't need an edge to his sword, he had his mind and his body.
@@Filip-sp2vk brah i stole that from the local library i suggest you do the same its called the book of five rings by miyamoto musashi the illustrated version by william scott wilson dont forget the illustrated part bro
@@icecoldd.e.m.o.n3293 it doesn’t. Those twitter users were being bashed and ratiod even on twitter, and there have always been haters like that way before the berserk tubers started making videos about them. It’s better to ignore them. There are lots of people who love berserk on twitter
you want to take arevenge like foolish guts? why dont ppl understand that the author made guts to be a revenge seeking fool to a struggler against impossible
@@mentally-stable-humanblank blank didn't say that. given that this is about guts _and_ farmer musashi i'd say it's about guts in later chapters of the manga where guts _stops_ blindly seeking revenge and instead puts more effort into caring for the people he holds dear
@@mentally-stable-humanare you a fucking retard? If u don't know about guts so why don't you shut the f up?don't you see guts suffered since he was born you think guts want to a miserable life endlessly seeking revenge?poor soul just wants to live a happy life with someone who actually loves him.
he once said in interview that he went beyond himself to write this story he neevr thought it would turnout this good and the reason he took the hiatus is cause hes afraid he cant think of a way to end this masterpeice of a manga in a way that matches the fans expectation
@@flex.6613 Yeah, pretty sure he was crushed by the weight of his own masterpiece. Funny thing is, I don't even mind that much. Vagabond is about the journey, not the end. The farming arc alone was already worth it.
@@flex.6613 If by author you've been talking about is Takehiko Inoue, he never write the story himself. Vagabond is based on novel written by Eiji Yoshikawa titled Musashi and it's already finished long time ago, it's a bit strange to say he cant think a way to finish vagabond when the sources is ready to be adapted
That whole village - rice - paddy field arc , has got to be one of the greatest and philosophical manga arcs ....i just wish this manga went on... i miss it already ...
@@shriefallam8866 it means winner, but it’s usually used in any context where someone is/did good. so when they say vagabond and berserk are their fav stories I say W cuz I think both of the stories are great
Thank you so much for this edit. Words chosen for it fit Musashi's philosophy. Ashitanozak, you made me want to reread "Vagabond" and rewatch "Bojack Horseman" for another time.
That is why vagabond is one of the best mangas, it demonstrates the search for happiness and questions teh own readers about it. Fire edit king keep it up
I really like your content and mainly the videos like this one, everytime I face myself with loneliness or need some motivation to go and face the day i watch it and feel better
Oh the vibe is way different you progress through his teens to his later years and you see him become the beast he is in Baki but its lot more grounded and real not exaggerated like in Baki. Defo be sure to read it. Edit: I recently watched the live adaptation of "Miyamoto Musashi(2014)" and i have to say Vagabond blows it off hard.
I've recently ended Vagabond, and it has changed me to better. Takehiko Inoue gave us art in it's purest way, the way that not only expresses things to those who interact with it, but also changes them.
This manga felt different every page I read I'm taken into the realm of the character's journey makes me feel kind of sad that I'll never amount to such wonderful characters Takehiko Inoue really knows how to make the world colorful
I realised one thing about vagabond it's the first manga I've seen thats popular even before of it Anime announcement.🔥 Truly a masterpiece i must say though I've to read it to know about it. Will do it for sure but not now. I'll give it a separate time to enjoy it fully.😁🖤
I started vagabond a few months ago and I really enjoyed it but I couldn’t get through it at a good pace and I took breaks and once I finished it I thought it was so good that I have to reread it to pick up on things I missed
When you find the value around you and don't want to lose it, only that will pull you out of nihilistic thoughts. It's so important to fight for it. Find your valuable thing and hug them like there is no tomorrow. Value is variable but always make you happy.
