Nice to see a video with someone who swings at a speed comparable to what many of us do. Any chance you could do a review of the 923 hot metal pro? That seems to be receiving even more favorable reviews over previous generations. Just trying to decide between the two or possibly blending a set. Great job on your videos !
Hi Thomas! Thank you for watching the videos and your kind comment! Next time I’ve got access to the fitting bay to film I’ll see if they have the 923 Hot Metal Pro and if they do I’ll film a review for you! All the best, Luke
Hi Michael! Thank you so much for watching the video and for your kind comment! I’m really pleased the video was relatable! Sadly they don’t make the HL’s in left handed so I can’t test them! Otherwise I’d have loved to as think I’d love them! All the best, Luke
Real world results for is who isn’t a pro. Wish more testers would test these at average speeds ect. Sorry as a senior I’m not hitting my 7 iron 195, more like 150.
Hi Greg! Thanks for watching the video and your comment! I hope you’re saying that you like the fact that I’m testing these as an average handicapper who also hits a 7i about 150 yards?! All the best, Luke
Hi Larry! Thanks for the kind comment and for watching the video! I really enjoyed the Mizuno’s and can totally understand why you’d be playing them. They feel great! All the best, Luke
Hi Martin! Thank you for watching the video and for your kind comment, I really appreciate it! Glad you liked the video and found the comparison helpful! Thanks, Luke!
@@NZFarmboy80 I think they are very very similar and I love both! Based on what I saw in both tests I think Mizuno and Ping are trying to make a game improvement iron the ‘right way’. What I mean by that is the focus is on creating a club with maximum foregiveness to retain and create maximum spin for what a handicap golfer is putting in. The outcome of this is it gets and keeps the ball in the air for longer and equals more distance (but not crazy!) but with the ability to stop the ball and maintain control. I love the other game improvement irons I’ve tested but they are all focused on maximum distance. If you like the Ping G425s you’ll love these too I predict!
Hi Warren! Thanks for watching the video and for your comment. I was using the KBS S-Taper Chrome Steel shaft in a regular flex when I was hitting the Mizuno’s. I’m sure it’s one of the stock options as I always try to use the stock regular option where I can when reviewing. Any other questions please let me know! Thanks, Luke
Hi Ryan! Thanks for watching my video! I promise you’ll love them! I’ve ended up being fit into the Forged version about 2 months ago. They are game changers for me. All the best 👍🏼
Its nice to see a video with a lefty as myself. I have been wanting to get fitted for irons. I've been looking at the Callaway Apex DCB,and the Mizuno JPX923 hot metal irons. With me being a 10-12 handicap which would u recommend to another lefty with a slight pull. Thank you
Hi Vernon! Thanks for watching my video! Absolutely, us lefties have got to stick together! Haha! Great question, and fortunately I’ve tested both quite close together and would suggest I hit a slight pull more often than not! I found both gave me great numbers, potentially the Apex DCB was slightly ‘better’ for me but only marginally however I personally loved the feel of the Mizuno’s more. The only issue with that is feel is very subjective so you might be different. I’d say the Mizuno felt a bit softer off the face, if that helps at all! All the best, Luke!
