I worked at this 99 Cent warehouse in Katy Texas and I actually found this c.d. lying on the dusty floor. the case was broken and when I saw that it was Bill, I stole it and have been listening to it for years now. when words just don't do it for me, I break this one out and let it drone. it help me with my bi - polar and depression diagnosis. I was playing more ambient bass and this release made a big impression on me.
The best dark ambient track ever. I was not really into ambient music befor I heard this on di.fm radio. Now I'm a huge fan of ambient, especially darker styles. And Bill Laswell is one of the best ambient (and not only ambient) music producer.
I lived in Buffalo, NY when this came out. There was a music store called Home Of The Hits (my favorite of all time). A dude named Slyther worked there (Decibel Orgy), and always pointed me to the new stuff. They had a section in the early 90's labeled "LASWELL AND COMPANY". I bought all that shit! Miss buying cds in a real store!!!
I loved Home of the Hits! I'm a Buffalo native and I used to walk there from 10 miles away to get concert tickets and cassettes of course. I bought Swans "Children of God" there in 1988.
