MJF & CM Punk have a war of words on Dynamite: Wrestling Observer Radio 

They can't make this promo as great as in Chicago anywhere. I personally think Chicago is the city where people REALLY know what professional wrestling is. They are sooo good. They respect the hard work.

@@suhailakhtar9349 Well I don't know about the location I think when you have two good people with mic skills you get good promos can you put CM Punk MDF anywhere you get good promos you could put them in my backyard and they would have an epic promo they're just good on the mic and equally as good in the ring that what I do agree is that the location you can tell how the fans react is nice to hear the pop it was 🔥

You might be right but the Cowboy Shit promo happened a month ago. And the Mox promo on Darby for their title match was last year. Kingston-Punk was earlier this month. We're spoiled for options lol.

Punk/Kingston & MJF/Punk are the best 2 promo offs I've seen in a long time. Imagine guys that can talk being put into the ring, WITH NO SCRIPTS, just talent, going at it. Hmmmm that's new. Not an AEW GUY, nor WWE GUY, BUT imagine WWE topping this. They couldn't top Full Gear w/ Raw, Smackdown AND Survivor Series combined. Props to MJF & Punk

This post has the right idea. This, & the Eddie vs Punk promo shouldn't be limited to just "the best of AEW". I see it as these 2 hold up in any era. Guys looking like they're having some REALLY HEATED WORDS. NOT some "script" written by somebody who doesn't know the wrestlers nor the pro wrestling business. Just talented guys going out there & talking. Being allowed to let their talents shine

Not saying Eddie gets all the credit, not saying Punk didn't have what it takes anymore, I just saw Eddie vs Punk as the return of Punk promos. He was veteran like, in the way he stood back & took MJF's verbals... Then like an experienced fighter, he gave it back but in less time. CM Punk definitely deserves more credit. You had this segment, but, before that, you had Eddie Kingston bring up Punk's Ring of Honor past. And that made sense because Eddie was actually there. Nah i honestly dont like WWE approach of not mentioning where the talent Was before (except NXT, the did acknowledge stuff from time to time). We arent in the 80s anymore, everyone has Internet and can figure out where people were before joining WWE or AEW or TNA.

I know the line about MJF not noticing he’d been replaced as one of the four pillars of the company by Britt Baker was supposed to be a compliment of her and putting her over. But when you think about it, it’s kinda of an outdated misogynistic dig in the way he used it. Like women are inferior and MJF isn’t even as good as a woman, who’s the women’s champion. I know that wasn’t his intent. But that’s exactly where the brunt of the insult lies. You talk about being one of the main four pillars of the company but your not even good enough that you’ve been replaced by a woman. Love Punk but I would of thought he was better and wiser than that line tbh. And don’t get me wrong I’m not saying he should be canceled for it anything or that I didn’t enjoy the whole segment... just that I feel Punk would realize that it was kinda of a low hanging fruit back handed compliment of Britt Baker/insult of MJF at best. And she deserves better than being compared to MJF who is universally loved to be hated as a heel, while Britt has got her self so over...she’s just flat out universally loved even in spite of being a heel.

He's always been talking about Britt in a positive light since his return, so there's nothing more to it. Plus, Britt is more of a homegrown talent than MJF, considering she's a champion and what not. Also she wasn't compared to MJF, that's not what the takeaway from the segment could have been in any rational manner.

They definitely moved a lot of the pre-tapes around for that segment.

AEW has a deep roster to keep things kicking for the title scene with Hangman. When it comes to situations like this with top stars being out, someone(s) will always step up. Bryan, MJF, Punk, Black, Kingston, possibly Andrade and Pac. I think Adam Cole has been consistently over no matter what he does lol. This reminds me when Rock and Austin were out at the same time or one or the other, you had some of WWE's best feuds with HHH, Foley, Angle, Taker, Kane, Jericho, Big Show and 1 or 2 others. It's going to be an interesting year in AEW.

@@TerrelLism AEW roster has definitely gotten DEEP in the past few months. I believe they won't skip a beat even w/ Omega & Mox gone. The roster has legitimately BEEFED UP in the past few months.
