You were flying too low for a range test. You need to get that thing up in the air then probably could've went much further.

Long range definitely gets the heart pumping. 600 meters is amazing for wifi. You'd have to be in a wide open area like you were to get that range I would imagine.

Why does the Bugs 2W... have better Range than the newer Bugs 5W..?

Hey Tigg man, Sir Tigger of RC, I broke another pair phantom tri blade's that were on x16 motors, can you think of a BULL NOSE STYLE prop that is a little shorter than those long phantom blade's that will fit on x16 motors? my crash was not prop related, but on the 330 frame, I did have to shave of the ends of each prop blade for them to not hit each other!

Bit concerned the government in the UK plan implement a registration scheme and mandatory competency tests for all users of drones weighing 250 grams and above which basically will cover a lot of quads/drone not just professional grade drones.... The law has 4 levels A0,A1,A2,A3, A0 - Max weight 250g, max control height 50m, max range 100m, max speed 55KPH and this has to be electronically locked also this is the only level that can be a KIT/self made quadcopter, A1,A2,A3 Have to be factory built and have passed the regulators tests. A1 - Require registration max weight 20kg but same height.distance and speed limits A1,A2,A3, etc go even more crazy and require the drone to have basically a transponder that transmits an electronic registry to identify you as well has a GPS device capable of reading geo fencing data preventing it from going anywhere it shouldn't basically everything that this new law brings in makes the cost of drones/model aircraft in the EU/UK go sky high and makes flying them a lot harder. Basically any current drone owned when this law comes in if it was factory built will be illegal in the UK/EU for example the Bugs 3 will be illegal as its weight and range exceeds the limits and it has no transponder or gps device. Also all levels require you to keep the drone in line of sight at all times. Hello, may I ask, to the experts of quadcopters. I bought a Bugs2 B2W from seller on aliexpress. Now I can fly for only 8 minutes. I put this question to seller: Hello seller, I think have a problem. Now for the sixth time I fly again, with 8 minutes total flight, Propellers do not want to start anymore after that. After 2 minutes I do battery status test, result is that battery has 7.65volt. I think this quadcopter goes too fast in low voltage. 7.65volt does not seem critical, I have the Hubsan H502S and can fly until battery is about 6.5 volts Explain what you think about it. Can we have an agreement for this problem. he answers me: Hello, We test the Drone many times, when fly about 8 minutes, it will low battery alarm, but there are 2 arrow in transmitter drone battery signal, if you flying far awary, and about 500 meters hight, it will flying back in another 3-4 minutes. Total flying time about 10-12 minutes. but need make sure flight height all over 300 meters, drone fly down is very slow, but fly back is very fast at same level. Time seems to almost stop when RTH is engaged after loosing signal and the drone is nowhere to be seen. Who needs exercise when the heart rate can go so high when your'e just standing there doing nothing but waiting and hoping it will return! Great vid, so much suspense and drama, my heart can't take it :-) Cheers mate!

Hi: I'm confused. On the right of the screen, is the screen from your phone, right? How were you able to see where you were going once that screen froze up with the spinning circle about about 500m?? Also, Quadcopter 101 did a test and found WiFi range about 100m. Finally, how is the video from the Bugs captured? Is there an SD card on board the drone? I assume this is what you show on the left of the screen retrieved after the flight.

What phone were you using for FPV? I cannot go over 150 meters with my LG G6 phone, without getting the WiFi disconnected :-(

More like 200 beats per SECOND! That was some serious “white knuckle” flying! I own the Force1 version. Do you know of any WiFi extenders that can be purchased that will boost the WiFi range/signal? I’ve seen this done on pre controller models of the Bebop2 and Yuneec Breeze. I’m wondering if this same thing is possible for the Bugs 2.

As you were going further and further out, I would have chickened out and come back a lot earlier.

You'll only get that 400+m fpv range if you're in a wide open area where wifi coverage is sporadic at best. Anywhere close to a city and it'll be reduced to below 200m like some reviewers have.

You be careful, you could do yourself a mischief, all that heart rate and walking stuff. Great video as usual

interesting. I can relate to that. I took my phantom 3 to 500 meters and the signal was very weak but still working. My heart was in my mouth. return to home is a god send
