MK-Alpha vs Flapjack Rifle - Which is ACTUALLY Better?

Personally I'm running the MK as an AR and the Flapjack as a heavy SMG, it's been working well for me.

Btw if you move backwards while aiming downsight with the mk all the recoil you got will be replaced by your perspective moving down. So the recoil will basically be in balance and youll get 0 recoil.

I love how they are actually adding variety to the lootpool, i really dont like only having 1 viable option for every weapon class

The MK is the best long range weapon, it will be very popular in surge lobbies, though I think most good players will prefer to drop it late game in favour of the Flapjack, Pistol or SMG. However, I'm still trying to work out what I should use as my close range spray weapon. If I'm primarily build & box fighting, the MK is usable but not great. The pistol & Flapjack deal roughly the same damage, the pistol having less recoil & more headshot damage, the Flapjack dealing more build damage. I might need to test the bloom & damage drop off but at this point, I might pick based on rarity. Compared to the SMGs though? I'm not sure the regular SMG is good enough up close to choose over either the pistol or the flapjack. The current combat SMG is almost as strong as the Twin Mag in raw DPS(a shadow of its former self) but I'm not sure the recoil is worth it, I play at 66eDPI & keep running outta deskspace- though now that I think of it, the trick was to aim low & let the recoil do the work- I'll have to test that too I suppose.

If the Havoc Suppressed AR was replaced with the Standard AR, then I think this would be the best AR loot pool we've had in a long time

I’m rocking with the MK solely based off of consistency. When i use the Flapjack in creative it feels like it’s almost cheating, but when I’m in game i will miss almost every shot in the clip with the flapjack at close and mid range. The MK hits crazy accurately in game and in creative equally

i use both. MK is a a beam, flapjack is a great backup when you run out of MK ammo and works well with the Pump If you are like me and get them 1 shot with the MK, the Flapjack will finish them off easy. Ive learned Maven is not meta anymore woth the drum gun unless you can handle the pure pressure that thing puts on you. The cannon would be good if it destroyed buildings in 1 shot instead of 2 OR it recharges faster to compensate. SMGs are kina irrelevant atm with the exception of the Run n Gun SMG, as it provides infinite stamina and it reloads while running, its really good movement tech while swords are out. Boomerang is just not good 60 dmg is kinda weak. As for movement currently, rifts in jungle statues, augments for slap effect and rails its decent to move around. The superbikes are still there so rotating most of the time just requires that, the mud is amazing if you slide cancel, you can get so much speed. Pair it with the the Run n Gun SMG and you are zooming across the map. Imo the Meta loadout is MK, Pump, Flapjack, Bunkers/Heals, and Slurps/Slaps.

As a controller player, the extra zoom on the mk just makes surge tags so much easier. Just like any weapon with a red dot/extra zoom. So for me the mk is best

In terms of reliable aim for long range the MK Alpha is the winner But as far as the flapjack it's only good as a close range weapon to finish of other players

I've actually rarely used assault rifles this season-- as the explosive repeater has been my go-to option. It does pretty much everything that a AR can do, and with more perks. Its insane reload speed allows you to constantly be firing (if you have the heavy ammo required to do so), and the aoe (Area of Effect) makes up for the lack of any zoom when aiming down sights, as well as being dead accurate when aiming, and also being accurate enough to rely on the aoe to hit consistently while not firing. I seriously couldn't recommend giving them a shot more, you can get one almost guaranteed from vaults.

I feel like the pistol should have definitely been used in this video as well since it’s a really good smg and mid range gun. Where do you think the pistol would be reisshub?

I’m gonna be honest I use neither of these, I love the havoc AR and I think it’s heavily underrated.

I use both of them sometimes with a drum shotgun or a thermal dmr. However I would preferably use the combat SMG with the drum shotty and a mk7 as a finisher.

Ngl I’ve started going double AR this season. Mk, flapjack/combat smg, pump, utility (and that could be bunker, thermal fish, sniper, cannon, boomerang, or extra heal), heals.

I got a question what’s better havoc maven or drum gun for both zb and builds because in builds I always seem to get sprayed from sprayers with drum shotguns and in zb I usually use maven but recently I’ve been getting sprayed by the drum shoggun

i usually use flapjack as a spray weapon (like a smg) if my shotgun is out of ammo or im destroying trees/rocks and i use mk-alpha to laser people

“Both” has been my answer this season. No mobility means 3 weapon slots are viable. Since smgs are relatively weak at the moment, I’m running the flapjack as my smg

i run either, is top running mags because both have great or ok hip fire and the flapjack is still good at range if u tap fire or burst cus the crosshairs has little bloom when tapping and no sprea

Speaking from experience, if you have good aim the MK is extremely powerful. Absolutely broken when it comes to long range

Now imagine the flapjack with the medium ammo amp perk if it was still in the game

i used to main the havoc ar back in season 2 but because i didnt really like the red eye

I would only carry havoc ar if I can’t find a smg and even then I would carry a different ar as a ar for mid to long range

As a zero build player I always use the first person guns when they are in game but I’ll run flapjack when I wanna snipe

If you think abt it the gold variant for the flapjack is basically a tweaked version of midas drum gun 🤔

i just take both assault rifles because the flapjack rifle has less recoil than an smg, so i use it as an smg and i use the mk-alpha as a long range rifle

At like since MK was released, i mained MK, but now since like 1-2 weeks ago i main flapjack, flapjack feels better in long range and short range (argue if u want) and also this is what i main as my loadout: Slot 1: Flapjack Slot 2: Havoc Pump Slot 3: SMG (not combat) Slot 4: Heals Slot 5: Heals / if theres mobility then that goes here. Edit: He said that if im someone who just w-keys and likes box fights, well yes, yes i am, it’s prob why i like flapjack more.

Im torn between both. Beginning of the season i wouldve said the MK. Nearing the end of the season I find myself riding out with the flapjack. Sometimes I sub the smg out and put the flap jack in its place.

I say it's best to carry a flapjack for most situations and then a dmr for long range

Imo the mk-alpha is the winner for spraying people above 15 meters And then flapjack is closer like the smg but more consistent damage at closer range of 20meters Yeah my thingy is dumb but depends which rarity and the positioning I would honestly take the flap jack in a more open area then the jungle but then the mk-alpha and hide in the tree-

I use Combat Smg, Havoc Shotgun, MK Alpha (Long Range), Flare gun, and heals. Works out for me

Mk-7 was BROKEN. It was super op, because you could use it to BEAM players at long distances or simply use it as an SMG, making it so you could use a 2-gun loadout which was unoptimal but still useful in some instances. I think epic noticed this and kinda split the two. Mk-alpha was great for an ar but didn’t have the smg capabilities, while the flapjack exeeded in those close encounters as well as doing great in mid-range. The havoc was only good if you were tryna conserve ammo let’s be real.

I Love The flapjack as a smg it does heaps of damage and you can't miss when the player in your face and the MK as a AR

i play an aggressive mid to long range game and run-- AR, SMG, shotgun so the mk suits my playstyle

best way to play it is having one player carry an mk alpha with all the Medium ammo and the other player carrying a combat SMG with all the Small ammo. Would create insane advantage in mid-game encounters

i use flapjack and mk alpha because flapjack is good for close range and mk alpha for long and medium range it works pretty well.

Btw if y’all didn’t know you can flick your mouse down and up quickly to get zero recoil on the combat smg.

I dropped my SMG so I can run the Mythic Flapjack when I can get it as that slot along with a heavy sniper.

I found the answer If you playing builds, flapjack is better for spraying towards while boxfight When you play zero build , then the mk alpha is more better than flapjack because everyone is playing open without any wall or stair (except bunkers)

Bro the flapjack recoil is like gunner smg level on controller. Controller players have to either get used to it or carry the mk or havoc

Probably not but some pros might use the HAVOC AR because it’s better at long range than the MK or the flapjack

i use the mk cuz i don’t need the flapjack, i just use the combat as my close range spray weapon instead of a flapjack

Personally, I'll use the Flapjack as my SMG/Mid-range slot, because the only SMG is the combat SMG, Witch due to its aim It is even worse that the havoc suppressed AR, And use the MK as my AR/Long-range slot.

To me the flapjack feels like the tac ar. Not good at super long range, great at medium range and pretty good at close range.

Hey does anybody know why the Fortnite ranked Server are so lagging ( for me and my freind at least). When I see the pros or conten creator play they have no problems. Btw my PC shoudlnt be the problem ( I have an 3060 TI and a Ryzen 5 5600X). Is there a fix?

I only play Zero Builds, but both weapons feel good and I think it will be down to preference.

The ar balancing is miserable this season. The Mk is just a better Havoc, the Mk is just op and the Flapjack is alright but outshined by the Mk's laser beam potential
