I remember watching this movie at Fort Bragg right around the time that one Muslim US officer decided he was going to shoot up that base in Texas. The theater was dead silent during this scene.
I have heard that LSD can be used as the truth potion, but I've never heard about MK Ultra, yet Woodstock happened in 60's, and the name of this project reminds MK Ultimate
I wouldn't necessarily call it a truth potion. While it is possible to get someone to give you information that you want using LSD as the serum to extract that information it's not very practical because of the many other effects. It does put you in a very very suggestible state tho. Thats why it's stated to choose your company very wisely if your going to be on a psychedelic around people. Even just a simple thing they say can trigger a psychological response based on who you are as a person and your current mental health and state of mind as well as the thoughts that have recently been on your mind.

Later in the movie they have an Iraq POW in a tiny cell with strobe lights with Barnie theme song playing OVER. AND OVER. AND OVER. AND OVER probably for weeks on end. Now IMAGINE THAT.
Scarily accurate to a bad trip, especially the end unfortunately. I watched my sister get demolished by her boyfriend tripping on fake lsd. I was the guy under the couch.

The only thing about this scene I don't believe is Kevin Spacey spiking an adult man's drink not a young boys, other then that 100% accurate, and he definitely choose the better way out after Kevin Spacey drugs you
