Because it took what was good about the first one and built on that. It involved skill to pull off a juggle combo instead of just tapping button combinations. The third entry went wrong by changing the actors (Ho Sung Pak IS Liu Kang, not Eddie Wong), changing the characters, removing Scorpion, adding a new combo system, changing a lot of the aesthetic, adding ridiculous and cartoonish finishing moves that look rushed. At least, that was what ruined it for me. UMK3 came out later and redeemed it somewhat, but it still wasn't as good as MKII. I recently revisited Doom and Doom 2 after the AVGN did a video at the end of 2022. That was fun. I beat those for PlayStation, upscaled on an emulator.

It’s an all time classic

Bruh, I used to play MK2 in the arcades. Quarters were lined up across the machine for who had next. People who cover their hands with jackets or hoodies when the inputted fatalities, friendships, stage fatallities, all of them. On another note, right next to MK2 was Street Fighter. A friend of mine, just for fun, cleared street fighter with all perfects. He stumbled upon Akuma for the first time ever. He's screaming for the arcade owner to show him. The owner immediately, IMMEDIATELY opened the coin mech and put in 100 credits. These are just the bits and pieces I remember. What a time to be alive.

No idea because it’s not actually loading all you need to do is push the button and it’s the next round. I wish you could turn off the loading screen.

Mugens are free fan made games for your PC. If you google any of the names of the Mugens I’ve played on my channel you will find them for download fairly easy. 👊🏼

The AI is amazing in this, there’s 10 difficulty levels and they all act accordingly. No tricks or cheap input reading it plays the way it should play. VERY good 👊🏼
